Mystic Messenger 17+

This game is so fun and I absolutely love the plot as well as the characters. I think the fact that the chats pop up in real time makes it even more addicting, although slightly annoying at times. No ads as well, thankyou Cheritz!

I’ve noticed some people complaining about the cost of hourglasses (100 hearts for 1 hourglass, or else real money). I wanted to say for some people considering this game/newer to it (I’ve only been playing for a few months) that you also get a lot (30 to 100+) of hourglasses for events, which occur once or twice a month from what I can tell. You also get some when the server breaks down, which I’ve been lead to believe is not a rare occurrence (though it has only happened once in the time I’ve been playing). The guests from the party, if you click on their profile afterwards, give hg too. There are also certain things you can do to get more hourglasses/farm hourglasses/hearts if you’re busy, just search up online (I don’t want to say here). Hope these helped! :)

Overall it is very fun and I would definitely recommend!

The game is amazing, it’s been about 5 days since I downloaded it and I feel in love with the characters, the plot looks very promising and the overall format of the game is something very unique, but works well. While there are many ups I am afraid there are a few downs. The game encourages people to go on during specific times, that’s great and all when you have free time. But for people who have work and school or other commitments it’s hard to go on the game during those specific times. Which leads me to my other complaint. Hourglasses are very hard to get and it coasts 100 hearts...for 1 hourglass. These hourglasses are very hard to get. This links in with those specific times; if you can’t log onto the game for more than an hour when required you cannot access the conversation and will have to wait until a next one comes. Or spend 5 hourglasses to access the locked conversation. The game is really great but it’s just these few things that really annoy me, I am a very busy person and I just don’t have the time and luxury to log onto the game freely. If some of this can be changed that would be great for example making 100 heats allow you to by 5 hearts instead of one or conversation become less demanding and much more accessible (and have reasonable times for example most people aren’t going to be awake at 3am in the morning).

This game is absolutely amazing. From the plot to the concept to the characters to the gameplay to the OSTs, the only things I could possibly think to improve this game is if there was another route for Vanderwood, as well as more updates on seasonal chats and the organisation counters once you finish a route!

I have been with playing this game since the year it came out and I have not forgotten about this game once in the past 6 years. I remember playing the game when max speed did not require hourglasses, retries for chat rooms were unlimited until the next chat room opened and the only routes available were the original 5 (excluding Another Story routes). While I sometimes miss how friendly the game was for a 13-year-old like me to enjoy without having had to spend real money, over the years, I realised that we have been so fortunate to play such an amazingly executed concept for an otome game for free and I have once not regretted picking up Mystic Messenger.
