Absolutely a must for ANYONE wanting to improve their weight
Wrath-Of-Diva
I have been using Noom on and off for a few years. The only reason I circle back and do another course is because I want to make sure that I am still doing everything I can to look at food differently and approach my weight loss in a healthy and sustainable manner, and also my memory isn’t great. Besides those points, I have made so many changes to the way I view my relationship with food and weight loss, all from the very first time I tried Noom. The psychology behind this program will 1000% make such a huge impact on your weight loss details and these are tricks like knowing what food choices to make, how the body works, what are triggers and behavior patterns that you could change or improve, even down to self care routines and dealing with emotions and stress. This program takes such a holistic view to health and wellbeing that I am amazed no-one thought of this earlier. If you need motivation, the team will be there in any way they can to help you stay accountable and motivated. I know at first I was reluctant to pay over $200 for the course, but since my first leap of faith, that investment has paid off so much better then wasting it on fad diets or “magic pills” you see on social media. I was skeptical when I started, but I can’t tell you enough that if you are unsure, and you read this review, please please please stop procrastinating and do it. There is a 14 day trial so you don’t have to pay straight away but i guarantee after the 14 days you are gonna do it because it is just that good. P.S I have lost 15kgs just doing this program and because of what I’ve learnt, not a single kilo has been put back on. It literally has changed my life!!

Logging now reinstated
Magpie Dawn
EDIT: I have added two more stars and changed the title of this review because Noom have now reinstated the ability to log weight (and other things) in the free version of the app. Past logs are also again available - so thank you Noom for doing the right thing by past (and potential future) subscribers.I subscribed to Noom a couple of years ago, and it was initially helpful. I managed to lose 5kg of the 10kg I wanted to lose, but then it was simply impossible for me to eat any less or exercise any more, so that was as good as it got. I didn’t continue my subscription, but was allowed to retain access to simple things like logging my weight and logging activity and food if I wished. I just logged my weight, almost every day for the past two and a half years. Today I opened the app to find everything gone, with no warning, and no ability to log my weight in the free version. Noom will now only draw your weight from other apps. So, why use Noom at all and give it access to all the information it wants about you? Its psychological approach to weight loss is a game changer to begin with, but once you apply it there’s really nothing more to learn. I guess that’s why they’ve had to make a basic feature like keeping a weight log a subscription only feature (despite telling former subscribers it was theirs to keep). Beware of trusting this company.
A new way of thinking about food
l'euphorie
I highly recommend Noom. I’m 10 years post accident/multiple foot surgeries & lack of exercise & boredom l gradually gained a lot of weight. I’ve yo-yo’d trying to loose it myself & always put it back on. Noom’s approach, has completely changed how l look at food & my lifestyle (& I’m a chef) yes there’s food logging/calorie counting, but in doing that I’ve changed my eating & cooking habits, I’m enjoying much healthier cuisine. It doesn’t restrict any food just the quantities you consume each day of different types. But more so it’s not just about food it’s everything in life that makes you healthy & fit. And because you have a coach & group to communicate with, they boost you to improve in all aspects of your life. I have now started a non weight bearing workout, which I’m actually wanting to do 3 times a week - in 5 weeks (over lockdown in Melb) I’ve lost 4.5kg with them. And changed my thoughts to food so much that it’s carried over to work & I’m incorporating much healthier & still delicious menus for everyone l cook for. Without doubt Noom has changed my approach to life & my overall happiness, even though still injured l can change the health of the rest of my body.
Costs are Misleading and Customer Service is Awful
DarklingCass
I joined up under a set cost (took a screenshot which said- your subscription will cost X, as I keep these for my records and am so glad I did get a copy of that proof) and when it came closer to making the decision to subscribe, I found they had hiked the price up by $30. I contacted customer service to ask what had happened and if this could be fixed and included the screenshot of the price I was advised I would be paying. Their customer service person didn’t really give a clear response. The first answer was that I would only get an X% discount which meant my subscription would cost more, which I responded that my discount % was actually not that amount per the cost breakdown I was given (I believe he said 50% but my sign up price advised it would be 72%). So he backtracked on that and said the price increase was ACTUALLY due to ‘local taxes due to where I live’. I advised that GST is 10% and would have been 1/3 of the additional cost, which needs to be disclosed at the time of purchase in Australia anyway and asked for my query to be escalated to a manager for assistance. The customer service person refused to engage further and did nothing to assist anymore. It’s better to use just as a good calorie tracker anyway, which is still in the free version. It’s a shame that the pricing has hidden costs and their customer service just makes up answers hoping that you will accept one, as I was genuinely planning on taking on the paid version.
Bug fixes and improvements.
