Notes+ : Note-taking app 4+

If Notes+ has no fans i am dead

Undergrad student here studying a BA/BSCI - double Major anatomy/histology + Archaeology (plus a bio minor). Highly recommended for anyone studying under the life or medical science umbrella

I trialed (to varying degrees) about 20 apps and Notes+ was the clear choice for me. It’s criminally underrated — beats Goodnotes and notability any day. AND FULLY FREE!

It just works. Simple as that.

It isn’t overly finicky or clunky. Amazing pdf and document integration. Versatile, easy to use and navigate, good pens and variation, really useful addition tools. Screenshot tool is awesome omgggg. I didn’t have to learn a coding language or pay a subscription or struggle through making a table in onenote

It has all the required features and I have faith in the continuing development. They actively ask for feedback too, I may reach out to request quality of life features like coloured folders but I can’t think of any real functional faults.

I feel like it would benefit from a few of the “traditional” Word document options, but I’ll take Simple over bloated any day.
Eg. I’d like the option to toggle layers simultaneously but at the end of the day I wouldn’t care if they never ever added it. Maybe adding a normal shapes generator and formatting options — eg be able to choose the order of stickers/elements (or just toggled/moveable layers). Anyway I’m just being picky and spoiled, it’s still the best app imo

So many great features

As a user, I find the Notes+ app exceptionally good. Its intuitive design and clean interface make note-taking a seamless experience. Best Apple Best Experience

I’ve been searching for nearly a year for an iPad app that would help me transition to digitizing my handwritten journal entries. Rather than filling countless notebooks and throwing out countless other pens in the bin I wanted to take advantage of my iPad mini and Apple Pencil. Sadly, EVERY OTHER APP I’ve tested left be utterly unsatisfied and made me question why I had even spent all that money on both these devices.

I had nearly given up on the Apple Pencil apart from simply being the most expensive highlighter I’ve ever purchased. That is until I found Notes+. It is by far the best handwriting experience I’ve encountered. I just finished jotting down my first journal entry using the app and I was blown away. By the time I finished the first paragraph I had complexly forgotten I was writing on an iPad all together.

I can say with out pause that I will most certainly be switching to Notes+ from this day forward for all my daily journaling and I look forward to future updates.
