Description
The NSW DoE Staff Portal app aims to provide improved mobility to assist in the management of day-to-day administration needs at schools, whilst on the go.
Whilst functionality is aimed at principals for now, access to the app is now possible for all NSW DoE staff. New features are continuously being worked on and any suggestions by staff is encouraged.
Key features include:
- SchoolBiz news: Optional push notifications. Find, save and share SchoolBiz articles and editions.
- My Essentials: Quick, easy access to your Essential shortcuts.
- Contact Directory search: Access to school contact lists.

Touch ID doesn’t work
When I use the app on my phone, I have to enter my whole Department email address and password then wait for a passcode to be sent to my phone and enter that in, before I can access anything. I click something that says “Stay logged in?” but ten minutes later I’ve been logged out and I have to do the whole palaver again. How do all the other apps that use Touch ID manage it and it works every time? I called IT at the Dept and they said delete the app and reload. It worked two or three times and then it didn’t. It’s such a low quality app, it’s ridiculous.
Q+
Please add the Q+ essential to the phone app. It definitely is not there, make sure it works properly because it doesn’t display right when I open Q+ on my phone chrome browser. Thanks.
Asking to re login multiple times
The app logs out my account every 15-20 mins while in the middle of a courses. I’m using Touch ID as well as emails/password, it usually saves the progress but it’s an inconvenience.
