Poe – Fast AI Chat 17+

A fantastic app though I’ll admit I haven’t taken the time to analyse the nuances and eccentricities unique to each ChatGpd.

Re the current outcry (dare I say almost hysteria) against using this as a student, I can say that no this won’t do your homework for you … BUT … it is very useful when needing something (a concept, a topic etc) clarified.

For example, when I’m over-tired studying research methods and statistics and have had a mental “whiteout” about a concept, rather than thumb through pages of hard copy or risk losing my place in the online texts, I’ve asked questions like:

“Explain to me the meaning and difference between degrees of freedom and standard deviation as thought I am 6 years old”

“Assuming I am a 6 year old with English as my second language, explain to me what post Hoc tests are”

“In 20 words or less, explain to me the difference between ANOVA and ANCOVA”

Using Poe this way does not violate any educational institution’s rules, especially as a student wouldn’t be using the output in an essay etc uncited.

Some glitches here and there, but show me an app that doesn’t. Keep up the great work!

I like the bots memory and all but i’d love to be able to either edit the bots messages if they get one small detail wrong or even regenerate a message and be able to change it back if I liked the first response, I would also like to add details to my profile so that I don’t have to establish my name in every chat because otherwise the bot will say [Your Name] and as I previously stated, you can’t edit the message. I’m also bot fond of how the bot will sometimes speak for you. Eg, “You cower in fear and scream ‘Help!’.” As I find that it can be a bit frustrating when I don’t want the chat to go that direction

Although I do enjoy the bots message length and how detailed and thorough it is and how it remembers things. Eg, If you’re talking to a Transformer, the bot will use the appropriate language such as spark (heart) or faceplates (face).

I’ve been using Poe for the last week and have found it really helpful in changing the flavour of some messaging, and also to pep up some executive summaries.

It takes the average Google request to a different stratospheric response tailoring rather than giving a list of sponsored suggestions. I’m very impressed.
