In 3.5.4:
- Support for basic html formatting in book/author/collection descriptions (e.g. bold, italics, etc)
- [Watch] Support for finer-grained playback speed. Tap the label (e.g. “1x”) to show presets
- [Watch] Fixed an issue where chapter skip controls could show “x of 0” chapters
- [Watch] Fixed an issue causing book title to be displayed twice on placeholder covers (i.e. when cover images haven’t yet loaded)
- [Watch] Potential fix for additional “Other” storage usage after downloading a book

In 3.5.3:
- [Watch] Complications should update more reliably when playback progress changes on the iPhone app
- [Watch] Fixed a crash when downloading large files (2.1gb+)
- Don’t show watch app purchase button on Settings tab when a paired Apple Watch is unsupported

In 3.5.2:
- [Watch] Added chapter skip controls (under the “...” menu on the now playing view)
- [Watch] Fixed an issue causing the initial watch app data load to fail
- [Watch] Fixed a couple of crashes

In 3.5.1:
- Fixed a crash when starting playback from CarPlay when “Show automatically” player setting is enabled
- [Watch] Fixed a widget/complication load issue

In 3.5.0

Prologue is now available for Apple Watch!
• Stream books you're currently reading, or books in your reading list
• Download books to listen when you're offline
• Widget and complications

Prologue for Apple Watch is the culmination of months of work by a single developer.
To keep Prologue financially sustainable, I’ve decided to ask for a small extra payment to use the app.

Thank you for the continued support!

Amazing

After the changes in Catalina managing a large audio book library was impossible.
I’m going to need to spend a lot of time sorting out all the metadata on my books but this app makes that time worth it. Locking offline (download) behind a pay wall more or less makes the app requires purchasing but for all of the functionality it offers it’s worth the cost.

Pretty good with one exception

My only issue is that it does not appear to have an option to view a library by folders. This is really important for me as I have a huge audiobook library, collected over many years, much of which has yet to be properly tagged. I also have multiple versions of many titles, with different narrators and different file formats. Trying to find a particular audiobook via title or author is virtually impossible as there is no easy way to distinguish between the various versions of the same title. I have realised that I cannot add my existing library to Plex and expect Prologue to cope. I am currently building a brand new library and adding audiobooks as I get them into a form that Prologue can manage. This job is going to take me months to complete. The need to do this would be completely avoided if there was a ‘view by folder’ option.

Developer Response ,

If you've created a new Plex library, tap Libraries in Prologue (top left button) and select the new library from there. You can also refresh the library from the same place if you make major changes (i.e. when deleting/moving books on the server).

The app you never knew you needed

I've been fumbling around with audiobooks in Plex for a while, and this solves all problems! In fact it's better than *any* of the audiobook apps I've used. The new Apple Watch app fills the final missing piece. You won't regret buying this.
