QUE Connect 4+

After working moderately well for a month (needed closing and reopening to get accurate temp readings, but worked abot 3/4 of the time), yesterday the app logged me out and decided there was no account linked to my email address. Closing and opening didn’t help; deleting and reloading the app didn’t help; asking for a password reset didn’t help. Apparently an error occurred and I have to check I entered a valid email address (spoiler alert: I definitely did). Luckily the control panel is much more reliable, but the app deserves it’s low average rating.

UPDATE: I got a developer response: At the time you should have received emails that we were experiencing an outage with the QUE Connect cloud platform, and that it has since been restored.
Can confirm that the app is indeed working again. I appreciate the reasonably timely response to my review, but I didn’t get an email about the outage (and I’ve checked the junk folder too) so I’m leaving the review but adding this update in case someone else is searching about a repeat of the issue in future

Two years after getting Actron Que, I’m still having issues with this app. The app randomly signs you out every week. Requires internet (why can’t you control it directly if on the same LAN?). Updates in one part of the UI don’t update other parts. Extremely slow latency with their server (there’s no excuse not to host in Australia with 10ms latency). The wall controller died and had to be replaced. This company just cannot do software. A pity, because the thing the consumer interacts with daily is an after-thought. And it shows. I still cannot recommend Actron to any other Australian.

We can confirm outage emails are/were sent to all registered and opted in users.

I’ve had the Actron ESP Platinum system installed for about a month now and have been using the app somewhat regularly.
Firstly the actual system is great and I’m very happy with it and was concerned when I saw such negative reviews.
In my experience though the app has worked fine. I understand there was an issue earlier in 2022 where Actron did not renew an SSL certificate that meant the system was offline, but in my use it has been very reliable.

Is it perfect? Of course not. Could it be improved? Absolutely. Namely, the inability to create or edit (or even view) schedules is a big oversight and something the developers should add to the dev program, but for day to day use it works pretty well
