As advertised
The gameplay is actually what the ad showed! I did pay for removing ads because they didn’t cost $14+ and was much more reasonable. When I played without paying that I don’t remember any interruptions from involuntary ads but they may still occur I don’t know. I love getting to play this style of game and basically having the whole game unlocked. Keen to support these developers we need more like them.

Good game but ends up being pay to win
It was a good game but to upgrade your tools you need to buy them as the resource amounts needed are ridiculous and the foundry etc to create the resources take forever to make them.
The latest level where you are required to cross breaking ice is unbeatable as the ice breaks before you get halfway across even with the fastest character- that you need to buy.
