RuPaul's Drag Race Superstar 17+

Fabulous game! :)

It’s a fabulous game. There are many beautiful outfits, and you can even customise your character (eg. body type, skin colour, etc.). Sometimes levels or opening the game takes a bit of time to load, but less time than some other mobile games would have wasted by making you watch ads. The game is playable without having to spend money, and the in-app purchases are affordable and good deals for the games currency.

I would give the game bonus stars if I could, just for the fact that I’m absolutely sick of ads when playing games! But this game asks you if you want to view them and gives you bonuses for doing so (2x for a few hours etc.). All in all a gorgeous game (with even more gorgeous outfits)

Too much gimmick makeup and makeup placement issues

It’s bad enough that the PRIDE boxes are a season pass exclusive, (rainbow capitalism much?) but then the only free makeup, the ONE free makeup look you get a month, is always a gimmick that is completely unwearable outside the whole concept look. Like seriously what am I going to do with this half and half look this season?

Then there’s the issues with the existing makeup. I have to ask if your artists draw the lips on an avatar, or if they just draw them and it’s up to someone on the dev team to decide the placement and size? Because the amount of misshapen, or even just downright unflattering and misplaced lips and even eye makeup (too high or low) is insane. The pop rocket lips are a great example. When they were first added they were way off centre. Now that seems to have been fixed but they look too low on the avatars face, making them unusable.

Otherwise I love this game and it’s fantastic.

Fun but buggy

In terms of gameplay, I would rate this 5/5! It’s super fun to play and really addictive, a great game if you’re a rupaul fan like myself. But oh my be prepared for the amount of glitches and bugs this game presents.

Often the daily and weekly challenges just disappear and you have to close and reopen the game to get them working again. If you don’t play your challenges throughout the day, when you go to play them later expecting a full bar of challenges to play you will find that they have all disappeared even though you have not played them yet. And often when you play these challenges your opponent is wearing the exact same outfit as you and as soon as you upgrade, lo and behold all future opponents have the same upgrade and will beat you.

You can play ads for lipsticks or to double your profits in game, but half of the time you will get the “failed to load”’ message and you will not be able to claim those prizes.

And don’t even bother trying to contact the support team, I have submitted two or three tickets with them and they never ever respond. So all in all it’s a game with a lot of potential but it has a long way to go with all these bugs.
