Absolute Game Changer For Sensitive Skin.
This app is exactly what I’ve been searching for. Created in tandem with the Mayo Clinic (one of the most trusted medical research centres in the world) and using AI technology, it enables anyone with skin contact allergies to search their extensive database of products to screen for common allergens. This part of the app is free and you can screen common allergens like “SLS free”, “paraben free”, fragrance free” etc.
If you’ve done patch testing previously, or know exactly which ingredients you’re allergic to you can send these to the developers if you pay for premium access. This enables the app company to generate a personal code and so you can filter products out by the exact ingredients you have personally tested positive to.
On top of this they can adjust the sensitivity of your allergens to also screen out all ingredients derivative of your known allergens or those likely to cause the same reaction. This is brilliant as there are so many names for many ingredients and it means you to learn about your allergens and work out what else to avoid.
Better yet (especially for this Aussie as many products listed are not available here) you can upload products with ingredient listings (either by sending a URL of a web page that lists the ingredients or by product packaging photos) and they upload them into the database. As a premium member they give priority upload and the first couple I sent were there within 24 hours!
Best $59 (for a year access) I’ve spent in ages and WAY cheaper than buying products I can’t use and only getting skin irritation for my trouble.
Every dermatologist should be recommending this to their patients.
Would give no stars if I could
I downloaded this app for the free period, and immediately contacted support as my derm doesn’t use them (so I couldn’t get a code). I had a letter with all the allergens I’ve been tested for from my derm. I have extensive allergies (18 at last count) with severe reactions and I will happily pay for something that helps reduce accidental exposure. At the moment many of the other apps don’t pick them all up.
I emailed and asked if they were able to give me a code with this information. They said yes, so I sent them the letter with the information. It was immediately supplied. I email a week later, no response. I contacted them via messenger, no response. I emailed again about 3 times and contacted again via messenger. I have had no response and no code.
As I was told they could supply the code, I paid for the app after the trial, expecting them to be try to their word.
So I now have an app that I cannot use, my information is now in their hands and I’m $100 out of pocket.
Honestly, scam of a company and an app.
FAKE! Do not trust!
The information in this app is totally incorrect. For example it lists Dr Perricone MD "No lipstick lipstick" as GLUTEN FREE when it absolutely is NOT gluten free, Perricone even states explicitly on their website that this product is not gluten free. I checked lots of products and they were All incorrectly listed in the app. If this aspect is wrong there is no way to trust it with the other catergories! If you have a health condition and need TRUE information on products, Do not use this app!! Such a shame because I was so excited to use it. Don't waste your time
