Tarisland 9+

The game might start boring and repetitive with a bunch of quests you need to go through but mid-late gameplay is enjoyable. Finding a build that suits you and doing a raid with guild and friends. So far so good the game is playable as an F2P. Still room for improvement!

This game was clearly not ready to be released yet. After less than an hour of gameplay, I have experienced visual and sound glitching, my character just being deleted and having to start over, and the game has randomly crashed three times. There are also minor things like having to constantly rotate the camera in battle and cutscenes referring to “him” when you are a female character. Makes things hard to follow. Not a good experience. On a positive note I will say that the music is excellent.

It is also worth noting that this game is HUGE. An installation *without* HD components is 11 GB. For such a large footprint, you don’t want a game that crashes and is unplayable. Note that there are a lot of one star reviews. Unfortunately there are other games that have been out for many years that just have better execution. Less flashy but they work.

Hopefully the team, who have clearly put a lot of work in, fix the problems and I can write a more positive review.

First off, you have to download all the data required, and it's absolutely painful. This is standard for mobile games, but this is different.

The download can’t happen in the background and you can't pause the cutscene that plays in the background. It wasn’t too bad of a video… for the first several times I had to watch it. I now know the entire video by heart, not by choice.
I’m convinced they must get some kind of monetary incentive for plays, because there is literally no other reason I can think of that they wouldn’t just play it once, or at least have a stop/pause button.

After finally getting the downloads done, joining a server is impossible. It’s a new game, maybe they’re just full. I figure I'll try again later.

When I do, I need to re-download everything from scratch. And guess what? I can’t join a server anyway. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail.

Each time I try to get back in, it’s the same nightmare: endless re-downloads, and the same terrible cutscene with the same atrocious voice-over, on repeat.

Avoid this game at all costs. It’s an endless loop of frustration.
