TripMode requires a subscription or a Lifetime in-app purchase to be fully used. A subscription or a Lifetime in-app purchase include full access to TripMode to you and anyone in your Family Sharing group. A feature limited free mode is available.
Launch TripMode to begin your free 7-day trial. You can cancel during the trial at any point, and won't be charged for using TripMode.
After 7 days of starting a trial, you'll automatically be billed $14.99/year (or the equivalent in your country) through an automatic subscription.
An active subscription or a Lifetime in-app purchase entitle you to unlimited TripMode app updates, including minor updates and major new features!
You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you do, once you reach the end of your subscription period, the app will go into a feature-limited free mode. Simply restart your subscription at any time to fully use TripMode again.

Very useful for conserving data on the go (and avoiding laptop downloading updates etc). One issue to please address is lack of support for Xcode 15+ USB debugging (which now uses a network based protocol) - apple has a developer page specifying how to allow this past the network filter.

wish we'd installed this on our mac at beginning of road trip! Even if you don't care about data usage, it's cool to see how much data different apps use and which domains they're connecting too.

Such a rip off. They sold TripMode 2 just a couple years ago, and now they sell TripMode 3 as a different app, asking for money AGAIN. Thanks for thinking of your loyal customers. Maybe create TripMode 4 next month and sell that, too.

I'm sorry that you're disappointed. With any TripMode subscription, or the one time Lifetime in-app purchase, you will always get the latest TripMode updates, minor and major ones, at no extra cost. You’ll also have that guarantee by taking a Setapp subscription. If you bought TripMode 2 from our website between May 1st and Oct 13th 2020 (TripMode 3’s release date), you can get a free license code for TripMode 3, as stated on our website and via the email we sent to everyone in that situation. If for any reason you didn’t get it : reach out to our support we’ll help you right away. The reason the update isn’t free for older customers is simple: Big Sur doesn’t support TripMode 2, due to fundamental technical changes in macOS. We had to rewrite TripMode from scratch to make it work on Big Sur. That took years of preparation and hard work, which we never would have been able to cover with a free upgrade for everyone. You can always keep using TripMode 2 on any previous macOS release, it will work just fine. Best, David (TripMode Team)
