Line up a morning, a trip out or a wind-down as steps with a finish-by time. Tap Done on your phone or your wrist and the next step slides into place.
One step in front of you, and the time you want to finish right next to it. NextStep turns getting ready, heading out the door or winding down into a short list of steps to follow on iPhone or Apple Watch.
Every step counts down its own estimate. When it reaches zero, nothing jumps ahead; the step waits until you tap Done.
SET UP YOUR ROUTINE
• Up to 30 steps per routine, each with a time estimate, a quick note and an optional flag
• Pick a finish-by time and keep an eye on the estimated finish as you go
• Begin with a starter such as Leave for work or Evening reset, or build one from scratch
• Break a task into steps: NextStep suggests steps and times from its own templates for common jobs and, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, from the on-device model for everything else. You check each step before it's added
• Reorder, duplicate or archive routines
• Reminders that repeat nudge you at your chosen time, and never start a routine without you
FOLLOW EACH STEP
• Done, Skip, Pause, Add 1 minute and End are yours to press
• Behind schedule? Adjust plan shows the optional steps still ahead and the minutes each one would save. Skip some, or move the finish time for this run only
• Pausing or adding a minute doesn't touch your deadline, so you can see straight away what it does to the plan
WRIST, WIDGETS, LOCK SCREEN
• The Apple Watch app runs saved routines on its own, even when your iPhone is out of reach, and syncs up when they meet again
• An optional Live Activity tracks routines started on iPhone, with a Done button for the current step
• The Home Screen widget puts the current step and a Done button in view, or else your next routine
• A Start routine control in Control Centre or on the Action button brings up your next routine, waiting for you to confirm
• Watch complications put your progress in view
ESTIMATES THAT FOLLOW YOUR PACE
• History shows the routines you completed or ended
• After enough real runs, NextStep proposes new step times from your own pace, and you choose which to keep
WITHOUT PRO
• Two saved routines, run as often as you want
• Routine editing, reminders, widgets, the Live Activity, the Start routine control, the past seven days of history, time suggestions and file import and export
• Three tries of Break a task into steps
• Watch complications, if you used NextStep before version 1.1
• A 45-second demo run that stays out of your history
NEXTSTEP PRO
• Go past two routines
• Full history, with planned and actual times side by side
• More ready-made programs, including Ready to go and A calmer evening, each open to preview before you buy
• Break a task into steps whenever you like
• Watch complications, when NextStep was first installed at 1.1 or later
• If Pro ends, every routine you made can still be viewed, edited and run
• You never meet a paywall in the middle of a routine
KEPT ON YOUR DEVICES
Nothing to sign up for, no advertising and nothing from an outside AI service; Apple Intelligence suggestions are made on the iPhone itself. Routines and history live on the devices that run them, and you can export a file whenever you want a copy.
PRO AND BILLING
Choose a monthly plan, a yearly plan or a lifetime unlock that you pay for once. Before you commit, the local amount and the billing interval appear before you confirm, and the charge goes to the Apple Account you're signed in with. Monthly and yearly plans carry on automatically. Turning auto-renewal off needs to happen at least a day before a period ends, since that's when the next charge is made. Your subscriptions page is reached via Settings and your name. Buying lifetime leaves any existing plan running until you cancel it yourself.

Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Version 1.1 helps you set up a routine sooner and follow it from more places.
• On a new install, a five-step setup lets you choose what NextStep should help with first, set a finish-by time, then review your first routine and start it
• Break a task into steps from the routine editor. NextStep suggests steps and times for common tasks; on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the on-device model helps with other tasks. You check every step before it is added (three free tries, then Pro)
• Tap Done on the current step from the Home Screen widget or the Live Activity
• A Start routine control for Control Centre, the Lock Screen or the Action button opens your next routine, ready to confirm
• Siri and Shortcuts can mark a step done, skip a step or tell you what's next. Spotlight finds saved routines when step names aren't set to private
• Clearer VoiceOver labels, and layouts that hold up at the largest text sizes
• Watch complications are part of Pro for people who first installed NextStep at version 1.1 or later. Anyone who used NextStep before keeps them free
