Design flaw: scheduled charge

Scheduled charge is a useful feature. However it the toggle on/off on scheduled charge is not working from time to time and this feature can only be changed via the app. Which means when it’s not working, it’s impossible to charge my car outside of the scheduled time. I understand the connectivity may not be always there between the app and the car. But at least there should be an override provided so that the driver can operate inside the car. Situations like this where people stuck in the state of impossible to change the car is clearly a design flaw. Please fix it.

Feature poor

I have a 2022 XC60 Recharge. I was expecting the app to contain more features from the screen shots available on the store. When I took delivery of my car and paired it, I discovered that the Australian version of the app appears to be quite watered down with minimal features available for door locking/unlocking, charge status including time remaining only & ability to turn climate on/off only, you cannot adjust temperature controls remotely.

Not only this, the app is extremely slow to contact to the vehicle adding more to the poor experience.

I hope future updates are coming to enable further functionality of the app as I am sure I infrastructure is place inside the vehicle to enable a substantial amount more functionality. It would be great to see location data of the car, enhanced lock/unlock functionality (e.g car key functionality via the phone so the vehicle can be started using your phone only), open/ close windows, check window open status, ability to fully manage climate control, start and stop charging and schedule charging. There is a lot of unharnessed potential….

EV-XC40 poor service ,

I would totally recommend the EV, XC40 BUT!

The service after signing the contract to purchase this vehicle was absolutely terrible.
Northside Volvo Brisbane have to be the worst at customer service that I’ve ever experienced.
You Judge!
1: I was offended $10,000 as a trade in on my 2014 Compass Jeep at signing of my contract to purchase. Now at point of sale they changed there offer to $3,000 as a trade in.
I sold it privately for $11,000. And if I had waited, I could have sold it for $13,000.

2: A few weeks after signing the contract to purchase, my wife and I decided that it would be nice to add a tow bar. I phoned the salesman’s mobile and the receptionist and only ever got a voicemail or “ I’ll get him to call you back “.
I couldn’t understand why we were treated this way as there were no underlying hostilities. I think they had a no care attitude because they had more buyers than cars.

Buy this car by all means but avoid this branch of there business if you can’t handle stress.
