Whether you’re on the go or at your desk, WebSSH keeps you connected—anytime, anywhere! ٩(^‿^)۶
WebSSH is a powerful and user-friendly SSH, SFTP, Telnet, and Port Forwarding client for iOS and macOS. It allows developers, system administrators, and IT professionals to manage servers securely and efficiently, wherever they are.
With WebSSH, you can connect to your servers using modern authentication methods including password, two-factor challenge, or keys (RSA, DSA, ED25519, PuTTY). Connections are fast and reliable, with support for local port forwarding, automatic command execution at startup, and full terminal emulation (XTERM-COLOR256, XTERM, VT100). Profiles let you customize themes, colors, fonts, and keyboard behavior to perfectly fit your workflow.
Managing files on remote servers is simple thanks to the integrated SFTP client. You can browse directories, create or rename files, upload documents from your device, download files locally, and even edit text files directly within the app.
Beyond SSH and SFTP, WebSSH also supports Telnet and Serial connections, making it a versatile tool for a wide range of use cases. Serial connections can be fully configured (baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits, flow control), while Telnet connections support both direct and interactive authentication.
For quick diagnostics, WebSSH includes built-in sysadmin tools such as Ping, Whois, Traceroute, and DNS Lookup. And if you need a terminal even without internet access, the mashREPL feature gives you a local shell with essential commands like ls, grep, curl, ping, tar, and many more.
WebSSH supports multiple protocols (SSH, SFTP, Telnet, Serial) and channel types (Shell sessions, SFTP sessions, Local Port Forwarding), ensuring compatibility with most professional scenarios.

I can't rave enough about this app - it's exactly what I wanted. One issue that I did run into was with port knocking.Where you enter the port knocking details in shows something like 2222:udp,3333:tcp,4444:tcp.This is the correct way of using port knocking within this app.BUT, at the time of writing this review, the port knocking documentation for this app shows something along the lines of TCP:1985,TCP:2020.This is incorrect and won't work (I wasted a couple of hours trying to get this to work) before starting from scratch and noticing that the format on the SSH configuration screen was different.Tried with PORT:PROTOCOL and it worked straight away.Hopefully the developer will fix this.Other than that little hiccup, this is a great app and it works perfectly with port knocking and private keys.BTW I have purchased the app because I liked it so much and wanted the developer to make some money.

A big thanks to Arnaud, this app is excellent for nearly all my remote admin and programming tasks. I’m blown away with how good this works on an iPad, I’ve moving more and more to using my iPad on the road and flights (when they resume again). Again, thanks for this great software. I can’t believe some people have the nerve to complain about the price or in-app purchase, this is exactly the kind of software we should be rewarding the developer for!

I purchased this software repository for the first time just yesterday. It was on the advice to a friend that I have along with some other hardware tips and containers that were just sitting in temp. I have nothing but good things to say, to the friend normally but he’s starting chemotherapy so I’ll keep it orientated. Best javascript tool I ever downloaded, was the guide on how to examine his object. I might have saved his life. If I had given it to him before the scanner, that wouldn’t install pdfs or anything other MTD, even after updating the BIOS for Winamp XP.
Used to work, then all of a sudden stopped working completely.

This app worked great for me for a couple of months. Today, it just randomly refused to connect to anything (cannot establish a connection error, tested with ssh, sftp, both remote and .local hostnames etc.), so I troubleshooted my firewall thinking I had something misconfigured. Turns out that wasn’t the issue so I downloaded an app from the competition to test if it’s an issue specifically with WebSSH. The app from the competition was working 100% fine. Nothing changed with my config or credentials. One app works, this one doesn’t. I will be requesting a refund.
