Widgetsmith now features a curated set of wallpapers you can download. The app can suggest coordinating widget themes for each one to complete your home screen aesthetic. Tap the Wallpapers tab to see these images. Scroll through the collections, select an image that catches your eye, and use the Coordinating Themes button to create widgets that perfectly match the selected wallpaper. You can also use your own wallpapers and photos to create coordinating themes. When editing a widget’s theme, select Generate Theme from Photo from the menu in the bottom-right corner. Select an image from your phone, then choose from a range of suggested coordinating themes.

This update to Widgetsmith adds new frames that you can add to your Photo widgets for a more personalized look. The new Frame customization lets you choose from nine classic looks: This version also includes a new Tool named Countdown Timeline, which collects all your countdown widgets in a new view that makes it easy to look ahead to upcoming special events or revisit past ones.

This version of Widgetsmith enables you to share your widgets with friends and family. Tap the Share button at the top of the Widgets screen, select which widgets to share, and send them to another person with just a few taps. Widgets can be shared via Messages, AirDrop, email, and more. With this version, you can also back up your widgets! A new tool to export your entire collection for safekeeping is at the bottom of the Settings screen. Importing from a friend or a backup is seamless, as the exported file includes everything that makes up a widget, including theme customizations and photos.

This update introduces a Background Sounds tool in the Tools tab, allowing you to play our high-quality, seamless sounds directly, without needing to configure a widget first. We've also now made several of the sounds free available to everyone to enjoy. These include Brown Noise, Waterfall, Forest at Dawn, and Beach Waves. Enjoy! This update adds sharing to the Mirror tool. When using the selfie view, tap the camera button to take a snapshot, then tap the share button to send it to a friend, post it to the group thread, or save it to your photo library. Like all Actions, Mirror can be launched from the Lock Screen, Control Center, or from a Home Screen Actions widget. This version of Widgetsmith also allows you to increase the number of items shown in the text-based Action widgets.

The Countdown and Photo Countdown widgets have been overhauled. As always, you can manually select a date and time for the widget to count down to, but now you can also select an event from your calendar! You can now choose from multiple countdown styles. The widget can now display just the number of days until the selected event or use the traditional timer with both days and hours. Additionally, you can customize the On This Day widget to hide the date and year so your photos are unobstructed. This widget now accounts for more image types, ensuring more memories surface in the widget over time. Lastly, the Date & Time widget shows the correct date when the selected time zone is a day ahead or behind you.
