Issue with app

I recently changed from the original app to this one. Overall, it’s a simple app and i like it better than the old one. However, sometimes when i want to change the colour or settings of my lightbulb it won’t let me. It will say “Unknown issue occurred” and after many tries of trying different things in the app and reseting my iPhone, my lamp and wifi and it still won’t work. Sometimes it will work after a few minutes but it is frustrating to repeat this every night while i just want to rest or read a book.

Thank you for taking your time to read this and i hope this helps with further updates.

Terrible - no support for Google

I’ve spent a good couple hours trying to sort this app after previously having the V1.

V1 worked fine and had it setup with Google home though last couple months the lights flickered and didn’t go to the desired dimness/warm setting which was annoying.

Saw that the V2 app had been put on the App Store and annoyingly couldn’t import my existing home so had to reconnect the 3 lights in the apartment - all manually.

So successfully setups new home in the V2 app and then I just wanted to sort it with Google home. Wow what a joke this is - you go to Google home and Wiz V2 isn’t supported. You click “Wiz” and it takes you to the V1 app which now crashes immediately and cannot link (if installed). If you only have V2 installed it doesn’t know what app to open and prompts you to download V2. The Google Home connectivity expects a 6 digit pin to connect to Wiz which isn’t apparent in the V2 app.

So yeah I now have lights that dim and are controllable through this app but now they are no longer integrated to google. I will not be buying any more Wiz products and special shout out to the support “Meeraa” who was useless in assisting with the matter. Directing people to check a different app that crashes upon entry is not helpful.

What an absolute joke - you don’t make a new app and force people’s hands to download it without having key functionality as sold on the product info pages. These products do not work with Google.

Unfortunately it’s bad

Hi. I’ve decided to build my smart home mainly with using Wiz products and for now I got disappointed by software. I can say that hardware is really good, but their soft is very glitchy and lacks functionality comparing to other brands. My main criteria was integration with Apple HomeKit, but the devices are usually not responding, so when I try to control something with Siri - I can’t do that, though it works through the Wiz app, so I have to reboot those devices.
The Wiz app itself… well it’s a hack job. I wasn’t there, when it was v.1 but this app is definitely not v.2.
V1.1 - tops. And the reason for that is functionality. You want to run some flexible scenarios triggered by events like motion sensors or your geo location, so the lights are on when you’re home? - forget about it.
You buy RGBIC LED strip for some cool effects, but the most interesting effect is party and the rest not really differs from the regular RGBW strip.
You buy an outdoor bulb string lights for $110 but you receive product with damaged wire coating.
And don’t even think of buying their pole. I bought one. It broke while updating. They’ve send me the second one and now it’s glitching and switching off randomly whenever it wants.
The idea is very good but it’s implementation… welll
