I have been using XE for many years both in corporate life & now in small business & holidaying around the world. It gives you up to date confidence you are not being ripped off in countries when they offer excessively low rates. I recommend to all my friends it is easy to use & you can see trends up or down, so if you are abroad for a while & the rate is great you may choose to cash more up front to avoid a drop. Try it & you will love the experience.

I gave this one star, simply because there isn’t a minus option. This has to be the most useless money transfer app ever. I have been using Western Union for 4 years to send money from Australia to Singapore to my wife, with no problem. Just recently I tried sending money to her, but they said that there was a problem with the receivers bank details, which I might add, haven’t changed in 4 and a half years. Anyway, I had to try some other way, because I already had the Xe app for currency conversion, I thought I would use the app to transfer the money instead of Western Union. I did everything you needed to do to register to transfer money, got the verification of my identity from Xe and proceeded to do the transfer. I got an email from them to say that the money was on its way, about half an hour later, I got another email from them to say that my account had been closed. They had already taken the money out of my account. 4 phone calls later, I was told that the review team had deemed me to be a risk, A FREAKING RISK. Seriously, It was $500 Australian, and they already had the money. I was not a “ risk “ for 4 years using Western Union, I was also not a “ risk “ to Wise, who I eventually sent the money with, in fact within one hour of downloading the Wise app, my wife had the money. I got my money back from Xe,but not the $15 international transaction fee that it cost when they took the money out of my account. And that is another thing with Xe, this international transaction fee, with Western Union, and Wise, there is no fee. Avoid using this Xe app, like you would avoid the plague, it is totally useless, and expensive even if you can’t send the money with them. I would highly recommend Western Union or Wise.

My experience using the app 2 times is the WORST, im frustrated at this point, who’s the product owner of this application? Its been 4 days, i have initiated my transfer and its not crores of rupees, normal amount waiting to be reached to my parents, worst app i have used till date, any other app i used transferred the money in 7 min exactly. When you need some id’s to be shown, you ask them prior to the initiation of transfer not after a day the transfer is initiated, its like a blackmail.Please re-write the triggers of your application. It has put me in a pressured and tensed environment since 4 days and continuing… and when its friday nothing happens, extra wait over the weekends. Western union , transferwise irrespective of the day can transfer amount in 7 - 10 min at max, whats the difference between your app and theirs? Nothing! Except yours takes at-least a week to transfer, please do not try to pacify my saying its your first transaction or so, its not my first transaction but will be my last using this app.I would like to say i dont even want to give 1 star, but to put my review i had to give it.

This update has ruined what was a very good app. The charts just stop working for hours on end. The send rate is inconsistent, I set up a trigger to tell me when the GBP reached a certain position when it triggered I tried to convert the currencies but the transaction was denied because the rates had never reached the required ratio. The chart defaults to monthly each time you leave the app. The old app used to display both the mid market rate and the reciprocal that has now gone. I could go on and but the truth is it has just cost me too much money and It has lost my trust so, as there are plenty of good companies to chose from, good bye XE.We now have an update since this review and XE IF YOU ARE PAYING SOMEONE TO DEVELOPE THIS APP FOR YOU KICK THEM OUT THE DOOR AND PUT YOUR MONEY BACK IN YOUR POCKET IT IS UNUSABLE. I HAVE MADE TWO TRADES USING MY OTHER FC BANK (SGMFX) which should have been handled by you. Wake up and look at what your clients are saying in the latest reviews. Such a pity.
