Experts’ opinion:
PCMag: “[Proton VPN’s] is a slick VPN with an excellent collection of advanced features, and it has the best free subscription plan we've seen. Few competitors can match its mix of affordability, features, and design. For all that, it gets a rare five-star rating and earns our Editors' Choice award”
TechRadar: “The completely free tier is something no other competitor [...] offers.
Wired: "The best VPN" "Overall, Proton VPN is very fast"
After the latest update, it is so much faster in free tier, and a lot better than ever. I love it!
Takes some time to get feedback.

I paid for one month, but then immediately it had become obvious that I could not even connect to internet on my two devices using Proton VPN app. Right away after a couple of hours of attempts to connect, I cancelled my subscription the same day (August 6) and had submitted the ticket for refund. Today is August 8 and I have not yet received neither my refund nor any feedback from Proton support team.UPDATE: I received feedback and later refund after submitting one more ticket for refund and sending one more email to the support team. It happened on August 9. Probably three days of waiting for feedback and several attempts to contact the company is acceptable but the app itself anyway did not work at all. I could not use even a minute of even low speed internet connection via this VPN app.

We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience. Are you experiencing this with particular servers only, or regardless of the server you're connected to? Are you seeing any error messages when trying to access certain websites or on your apps, while connected to the VPN? Just for testing, you could try changing protocols to see if the behavior improves: https://protonvpn.com/support/how-to-change-vpn-protocols/. Could you please share your ticket number with us if you have contacted support, so we can check on the support request?

Very very buggy sometimes. Mostly getting stuck at connecting screen but never actually connecting ever, while also not letting me connect to my WiFi connection before i delete the app and redownload it.
Developer Response
That doesn’t sound right. Are you receiving any error messages? What type of internet connection are you using? Do you have any antivirus or firewall app installed? Are you using any other VPN, proxy, or custom DNS? Contact us through the “Report an issue” option in the app menu so we can help you troubleshoot. Meanwhile, try changing the connection protocol to see if there's any improvement.
