Pascal Barometer
Barometer & Pressure Alerts
Free · In-App Purchases
New in 1.6: built for iPhone Duo, pressure swing alerts, 7-day history and climb tracking. All measured on your iPhone, no internet needed.
Pascal turns your iPhone's built-in barometer into a precision pressure instrument. It shows what the air is actually doing, measured on your phone, with no internet required.
READ THE TREND
See whether pressure is steady, rising or falling, and how fast, using the same 3-hour bands meteorologists use. Falling pressure usually comes before unsettled weather, rising pressure before settled weather. Pascal tells you what it measures, not guesses.
ALERTS ON YOUR TERMS
• Storm alerts when pressure drops at storm rates
• Pressure swing alerts when pressure rises or falls 4, 6 or 8 hPa within 12 hours, with a 60-day swing log
• Daily limits and sensitivity you control
HISTORY AND ALTITUDE
• Pressure and altitude charts over 12 hours, 48 hours or 7 days
• Total climb and descent for walks, hikes and drives
• Cabin altitude tracking on flights
EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK
• Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen and Dynamic Island Live Activities
• Apple Watch app and complications
• Built for iPhone Duo: a full instrument panel unfolded, and the complete app on the front screen
ACCURATE BY DESIGN
Pascal reduces pressure to sea level using your altitude, and checks every GPS altitude against the barometer itself, so changing height or a bad GPS fix never throws your readings off.
WORKS OFFLINE, PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No internet, no account, no cloud. Everything is measured and stored on your phone. Location is used only to work out your altitude and is never stored or shared.
Pascal reports measured pressure changes. It is not a weather forecast or medical advice.

Pascal 1.6 is a bigger update: honest trends, new alerts, longer history and iPhone Duo support.
• Trend instead of forecast. The weather forecast was not reliable enough, so it is gone. Pascal now shows what your barometer actually measures: whether pressure is steady, rising or falling, and how fast, over 3, 12 and 24 hours.
• Pressure swing alerts. Get notified when pressure rises or falls by 4, 6 or 8 hPa within 12 hours, and look back over 60 days of swings in the swing log.
• Altitude tracking. Altitude mode now shows your total climb and descent.
• Longer history. Switch the chart between 12 hours, 48 hours and 7 days.
• iPhone Duo. A full instrument panel when unfolded, a layout that suits standing it up like a laptop, and the complete app on the front screen.
• Rock-solid readings. Pressure no longer jumps when you change height or GPS altitude goes wrong: every altitude is checked against the barometer, and Pascal recovers on its own after a move.
• More reliable background sampling, with fewer gaps in your history.
