Text and audio recording of the Psalms, part of the Holy book, translated into the Balochi language. (Audio coming soon.)
The Psalms consist of beautiful poetry originally written in the Hebrew language and translated into many of the world’s languages.
A majority of these Psalms were written by King David, who lived around 1000 BC, and ruled the country from his newly established capital, Jerusalem.
The writers of the Psalms often struggled with universal problems, such as why there is so much injustice, intolerance and violence around them and why evil often prevails. But there is also much hope given in the Psalms. God is the supreme ruler, who will restore justice to this troubled world. Therefore he is worthy of being praised and worshiped. There are also many prophecies about the coming Messiah, the king and saviour, Jesus Christ.
This is the first full translation of the Psalms into Balochi. We hope that you will like this poetry and receive peace in your heart as you read and listen to the beautiful Psalms.
