Controls
- Twelve more HEIDENHAIN controls: the TNC range on the mill and the two CNC PILOT 640 and MANUALplus 620 lathes. Controls included: 68.
- One tap on the control you picked takes you straight into the simulator.
Lathe
- Parts up to 3000 mm, exactly what the machine's plate says: three different limits used to cut the figure down without telling you. The 2D view now scales itself to fit the whole part.
- G72 facing cycle and G73 pattern repeating cycle fixed: one started from the bottom and stopped with a collision alarm without removing a shaving, the other plunged inside the part.
- Cutting feed now takes as long as it should: long moves no longer speed up as if they were rapid.
- Examples set the machine up on their own: stock, chuck grip and the tools that example needs, just like a full project.
- The tailstock stops at the face of the part, long parts included.
CAD/CAM
- Facing always starts clear of the stock, drawn grooves are cut with the parting tool instead of the roughing cycle, and two-side machining hands the part over to the sub-spindle.
- The program comes out in the form of the control you are running — FANUC, SINUMERIK, OKUMA, HAAS — and with the spindle direction this machine actually needs.
Mill
- New parabolic end mill, on mill and lathe.
- Rotary table with diameter from 100 to 500 mm.
Steadier
- Steadier 3D graphics and several unexpected closures fixed, nearly all of them found through user reports.
