New

- Adjusted screen layouts for the outer and inner displays of iPhone Duo
Fix
- Fixed an issue where importing a large Wikipedia article with Plus could produce a simplified, paragraphs-only version of the text
- Fixed an issue where only part of the text was imported from articles whose text is split up by ads
- Fixed an issue where only the footer was imported instead of the main text on some web pages
- Fixed an issue where sharing a link to a PDF to import it made the app crash every time it launched

- Added support for importing PDFs and Google Docs shared as PDFs from other apps' share menus

New
- Added guidance that explains the difference between on-device voices and AI voices when turning a playlist into audio.
Fix
- Fixed an issue where a playback position selected by tapping the text or using a bookmark could sometimes return to an older saved position.

- Added the current version and update availability to Settings, along with links to release notes and the App Store.

Hello, this heat has been tough.
This update mainly focuses on important bug fixes.
New
- Improved the AI Voice reload guidance after changing the speaker or pronunciation.
- Removed the one-tap play/pause toggle on the text screen.
Fix
- Fixed an issue where the playing indicator could remain after pausing from the Lock Screen or AirPods.
- Made resuming after pausing AI Voice or high-speed playback more stable.
I removed one-tap play/pause on the screen because accidental taps had become a bigger problem than the convenience, especially as more text interaction features such as long press have been added.
I also fixed an issue where the playback icon on the Lock Screen could get out of sync with the actual state.
There are also improvements to the AI Voice reload guidance. For cases such as pronunciation changes, the app is now closer to reloading only the parts that need to be updated.
If anything catches your attention, please feel free to contact me from “Settings => Send request or question.” Bug reports and feature requests are always helpful.
If you like the app, I would really appreciate a review.

Hello, I’m still keeping up with early mornings.
This is a big update. Memorization markers and the trash list are finally here.
New
- Deleted texts can now be restored from the trash.
- Added text markers. You can hide selected ranges, reveal them after playback, skip them during speech, or repeat them.
- Cleaned up the playlist audio conversion / AI preparation menu, and added the option to create audio files after AI Voice has loaded.
Fix
- Made playback position saving more stable when audio is interrupted.
- Corrected the dark appearance switching for the search field.
- Suppressed unnecessary reloading and resume confirmations when AI Voice is off.
- Improved the button display while AI Voice is loading and the completion display.
First, marker functionality is now available.
You can also fine-tune it, such as hiding marker ranges, repeating only the selected range, or not reading selected ranges aloud.
Markers work the same way with AI Voice too. I think this should make the app easier to use for exam study.
I also added a trash feature to the playlist list, so deleted texts can be restored.
There are various other small fixes as well.
I’m especially curious how the marker feature feels to use, so feedback is welcome.
If anything catches your attention, please feel free to use “Settings => Send Request or Question.” Bug reports and feature requests are always helpful.
If you like the app, I would be grateful if you could leave a review.

Hello, I’m eating a banana while I work on development.
This update focuses on exporting text for entire playlists, loading AI Voice, and improvements to AI Translation. There is quite a lot packed in.
New
- You can now load all text in a playlist with AI Voice.
- Added text export for playlists.
- In AI Translation, you can now switch between the original text and the translated text.
- Added automatic language detection for AI Translation, and you can also set the target language to use when the original is already in the same language.
- Aozora Bunko ruby annotations are now reflected in speech.
- You can now change the settings for where new items are added and how the last playback position is handled from Settings.
- Added a shortcut to open the app.
- Changed update notices to appear as a bottom banner, reducing interruptions right after launch.
Fix
- Improved cases where AI Voice could freeze when pausing or resuming.
- Corrected cases where the AI Voice highlight position could drift.
- Fixed the load failure message during AI Voice creation, sample creation, and starting creation when AI Voice is off.
- Fixed the flow so you can return from the AI Voice preparation screen to the cancel action.
- Fixed a crash in the translation settings screen, along with the placement of the Help and Close buttons.
- Adjusted the volume of the text ending sound.
First, you can now export the text for an entire playlist at once. Tap the title at the top of the playlist to choose it.
From the same title tap, you can also load the entire playlist with AI Voice.
In addition, AI Translation settings now automatically switch between the translated language and a second candidate language, making it easier to use.
Finally, I changed how update notices behave. Previously, a full-screen notice appeared automatically, but now it appears as a banner.
If anything catches your attention, please feel free to use “Settings => Send Request or Question.” Bug reports and feature requests are always helpful.
If you like the app, I would be grateful if you could leave a review.

Hello, AI billing has been a lot.
The highlights this time are AI Translation and Shortcuts support.
New
- Added AI Translation. Plus users can translate with high-quality AI.
- Added Shortcuts actions for play/pause, bookmarks, speed changes, paste, text recognition, and search.
- Added a completion sound when the last text or playlist finishes playing.
Fix
- Fixed inconsistent icon and button display in the import menu and clipboard menu.
Following the recent AI Voice support, I have now added AI Translation. Voicepaper Plus users receive 300 credits and can use them for this feature.
AI Translation uses far fewer credits than voice, so please give it a try.
With this change, the device translation feature, whose translation quality was quite low, has been removed and replaced by AI Translation.
AI Translation lets you choose between Standard and High Quality versions. Even Standard returns very good translations.
You can adjust it from Settings=>AI Translation Settings, and choose the translation button from the button at the top right of the text screen.
Shortcuts are also supported now, so you can do things like start camera scanning instantly from the iPhone side button.
I also made other small improvements and bug fixes.
If anything feels off, please feel free to contact me from “Settings=>Send Feedback / Question.” Bug reports and feature requests always help.
If you like the app, I’d really appreciate a review.
See you next time!

- Fixed an issue where Plus could be treated as the free plan while waiting for your payment method to be confirmed (billing grace period)
