Museum Widgets & Wallpapers
0,99 € · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
One masterpiece a day from four great museums. New: Look Slowly, a guided minute with the art and music to match. One-time purchase. No ads, no account, no tracking.
One masterpiece a day, from the world's great museums.
Art Today brings you a single artwork every morning, from The Met, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Rijksmuseum, and gives you a reason to actually look at it. It is not an endless feed, a history course or an art shop. It is one picture, a quiet minute, and a little more each day.
TODAY
• A new painting, sculpture, drawing or photograph every day, from museum collections shared openly with the world.
• You choose the museums, the kind of art and the era. You won't see the same work twice until you've seen everything that matches.
• A gentle daily reminder, at the time you pick, for when the day's artwork is ready.
LOOK SLOWLY
• Take a minute with the artwork. The camera drifts across the picture to the places your eye goes first, then returns to the whole.
• Add music from Apple Music (optional, needs an Apple Music subscription). Art Today picks calm, instrumental music to suit the era of the artwork, so it feels like a gallery and not a playlist.
GO CLOSER
• Zoom into every brushstroke and crack in the varnish.
• The Details card shows where the work hangs (gallery number), its medium, size, credit line and a link to the museum's own page.
• Related works from the same collection are one tap away.
KEEP WHAT YOU LOVE
• Tap the heart to build your own collection.
• Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen show today's artwork, or a rotating piece from your collection.
• Share an artwork as a card, save it to Photos, or set it as your wallpaper.
ON APPLE VISION PRO
• View an artwork at its actual size, as if it hung on your wall, or step into a spatial scene.
MADE TO BE CALM
• Light and dark appearance, and a design that stays out of the way of the art.
• Works with VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion.
PRIVATE AND SIMPLE
• One-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, no account.
• No tracking. Your collection and settings stay on your device.
Artwork images and information are provided by the museums through their open-access programs. Art Today is an independent app and is not affiliated with the museums.
