The app starts at the top edge, so you see more of your code above the keyboard. Opened flat or folded, the status bar is back.

Faster start The terminal is ready a few seconds after launch instead of nearly ten. Plotting libraries load the first time your code uses them, and plots still show inline. Faster re-renders Every MathTex formula is typeset once and kept, so re-rendering a scene skips straight past formulas it has already seen. Lighter and smaller The LaTeX engine loads only when your code uses LaTeX, instead of taking about 800 MB of memory from every session, and the app is about 100 MB smaller. Smoother tabs Gallery, System and History open without the hitch, and the Gallery's animation uses less power. iPhone Duo Held half-open like a laptop, one screen is the app and the other is only the keyboard, with ManimStudio's extra keys right on it. The keyboard comes up by itself in the editor and the terminal and goes away when you open the Duo flat. Opened flat, the header and the Controls sidebar fit the screen better. Terminal Output stays when you switch panes on iPhone, Ctrl-L clears the screen but keeps the line you're typing, c++, g++ and clang++ explain that there's no compiler, and manim no longer checks the internet for a newer version after every render.

Paste from other apps A Paste key now sits above the on-screen keyboard in the editor and the terminal, with copy, cut and select all in the editor. Easier typing on iPhone The extra keys take two rows, so symbols and arrows are always in reach and more of your code stays visible. Return always starts a new line; tap a suggestion or the indent key to take it. A ctrl key in the editor Tap ctrl, then A, C, X, V, Z or Y to select all, copy, cut, paste, undo or redo. Hardware keyboards Tapping the editor always takes your typing. Ctrl+C, V, X, A, Z and Y work like Command, Command-C and Command-X with nothing selected copy or cut the whole line, Command-I shows completions, and a double space no longer turns into a period.

Renders keep going when you leave On iOS and iPadOS 26, a render keeps running after you switch apps, with its progress in a Live Activity. If iOS needs that time back, the render pauses instead of stopping and carries on when you return. Save anywhere, at any size When a render finishes, the save sheet is waiting, even if it finished while you were in another app. Save to Files takes every format at any size, 12K included; Save to Photos is there for videos and images. Know what happened A notification tells you when a render is done, needs the app, or was paused. If iOS closes ManimStudio mid-render, the terminal says so when you reopen it. 8K, 12K and 14K The quality list now goes up to 14K. 8K renders even on devices whose H.264 encoder stops at 4K, by switching to HEVC. Encoding controls Choose the encoder and how many frames may wait for it, for Preview and Render alike. The panel shows what this device's hardware can encode at the size you picked. Stop really stops Stop now answers within moments, even during slow setup before the first frame. Present any render Presentation mode opens a library of every earlier render, each labelled with its resolution, codec, frame rate and length. A key row for touch typing Extra keys above the on-screen keyboard: esc, ctrl, tab, arrows and symbols in the terminal; indent, brackets, undo and completion in the editor. A more capable terminal Every command in help works or explains why it can't. Run JavaScript with js and node, compile plain TeX, and open what pdflatex, md and nb produce. requests makes HTTPS calls and scikit-learn imports.

Korean and Simplified Chinese text in Text() mobjects now renders correctly (Noto Sans SC/KR bundled). UTF-8 file I/O fixes Unicode crashes in third-party libraries. LaTeX: math fractions with nested subscripts no longer silently drop braces. HTTPS works on first try — requests, urllib3, certifi and friends are bundled. certain MathTex expressions containing \frac{X}{Y} (where X ends in }) failed to render. LaTeX routing now matches the underlying library's default — simple expressions go through SwiftMath, complex/CJK content through xelatex.
