This release focuses on significant enhancements to order processing logic, payment terminal integrations, and a complete overhaul of the reports interface and visualisation.
Token & Product Printing
Token Printing Logic: Implemented a new token printing system that triggers every time an order is saved, including unpaid orders and split bills.
Individual Product Tokens: Added the ability to print each product separately on its own token, with new settings to toggle printing the product name and specific product details.
Tracking & Counters: Added tracking counts for each token and implemented a counter that only increments for items marked with the "print in token" setting.
Hardware Fixes: Resolved issues where the cash drawer failed to open when using the "Pay for All" feature for tabs or when the main receipt was not printed.
Payment & Refund Handling
Teya Integration Upgrades: Improved terminal communication for tips and overpayments. Tips are now correctly sent to the Teya app, and rounding issues in payment requests have been resolved.
Overpayment Management: Card overpayments can now be explicitly handled as either a tip or cashback. New warning dialogs prevent sending amounts greater than the order total to the terminal.
Complex Refund Logic: Introduced a terminal refund handling choice for partial and full refunds. The system now allows selecting specific payment methods to refund and ensures only remaining balances are eligible for return.
Deleted Item Reconciliation: Added logic to reverse payments associated with deleted order lines.
Reports & UI Overhaul
New Reporting Dashboard: Rebuilt the reports screen for both mobile and tablet, featuring a modernized UI and a new sales trend line chart.
Visual Enhancements: Updated the sales trend chart to an hourly view, restricted to a 12-hour window to improve readability and prevent interval errors during end-shift.
Detailed Financial Reporting: Added discounts to report prints and the UI. Tag reports now correctly include addon sums, and wallet/credit top-ups are integrated into report totals.
Waitback Optimisation: Removed redundant text and improved the layout of report summaries and physical printouts.
Order Management & Sync
Order Splitting: Refined the split order process to ensure kitchen prints are only sent for new orders created during the split and fixed item visibility issues in the main cart after a split.
Sync Reliability: Improved the synchronisation process by adjusting chunk sizes and fixing a bug where specific time intervals caused orders to be skipped.
Auto-Logout Logic: Adjusted the auto-logout behaviour to only trigger if the cart has been fully cleared, preventing premature logouts during order saving.
Entity Migrations: Added migrations for shop-specific wallet transactions and updated the expense payment type backfill migrator with shift-scoped fetching.
General Fixes
VAT Accuracy: Fixed calculations for excluded VAT amounts regarding line items and addons.
UI/UX: Resolved issues with null customer names, fixed restaurant table event processing, and improved screen loading times for new orders.
