Amid the diminishing relevance of the present-day media, engrossed n negativity and system bashing, BlitzIndia is a bold attempt at constructive journalism. It is the world's first, and only, weekly newspaper focused on development journalism.
The news weekly gives sustained coverage to the ideas, policies, programmes and activities that deal with the improvement of the life of people. It provides a fair, accurate, and contextualised picture of today's India, and the world, without hyping the negative.
The English edition of BlitzIndia was launched on February 5, 2022 in New Delhi by Amitabh Kant, the then-CEO of Niti Aayog and the present G20 Sherpa of India. A few months later, the Hindi edition of the newspaper also made its appearance. In September 2022, BlitzIndia was launched at a gala event in Mumbai.
Ever since its launch, Blitzlndia has become a must-read for policymakers, thinkers, academics and the intelligentsia. Development Journalism, which the weekly newspaper has pioneered, has been warmly welcomed by the readers, encouraging us to plan editions from Wa major cities in India and few international editions in the near future.
Over the past few years, India has embarked upon the path of all-round development with new-age policies, new socio-economic goals and new agendas. The India of the 21st century has given rise to a new kind of politics and a new governance agenda, with a view to shaping up a new nation. BlitzIndia acts as a catalyst in this transformational process and lends momentum to it. The weekly directs its efforts towards "building a new nation', as proclaimed in its tagline.
With in-depth articles and trusted analysis, BlitzIndia offers constructive suggestions on what best can be done to ensure that no one is left behind in the development process, as professed in the transformative motto of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations.
BlitzIndia accords utmost sanctity to SDGs and while the Government is working ceaselessly to achieve these goals, we believe that media too must play a key role in the process. BlitzIndia provides an effective platform to channelise all efforts towards SDG's awareness and implementation.
