CubersDen 1.5: a new Train area for practising one part of the solve, a new way to set up the algorithm trainer, and more smart cubes. TRAIN Learn now has four cards: Solve my cube, the beginner course, Algorithm trainer and Drills. The Algorithm trainer, Drills and the new Playground sit together on one Train screen, with layouts made for iPad. Drills train one part of the solve: • Cross: pick the optimal move count (4 to 8), and after each attempt step through the optimal solution • XCross, Full F2L, Last two pairs, Last pair + last layer • Lookahead: cross and F2L to a metronome, slowly but without stopping; with a smart cube you also get a tempo report • Blocks: the Roux first block, and CMLL recognition Every drill works with or without a smart cube. A session panel shows last, ao5, ao12, best and mean, and "Last time" compares you with your previous day. Algorithm trainer: choose what to practise (sets, categories, your slowest cases or the ones you ticked) and how (recognition or execution, 10, 20, 30 or 50 questions, spaced repetition on or off), then start with one button. Playground: take any scramble, or type or paste your own, solve it and step through the solution move by move. TIMER SOUNDS Two new sounds in Settings, both off until you turn them on. Inspection calls: a voice says "8 seconds" and "12 seconds" during WCA inspection, like a competition judge. Choose a voice, or a plain ding. And a short sound when the solve ends. SMART CUBES XMD Tornado V4 AI and QiYi smart cubes now connect, next to MoYu and GAN. After a smart-cube solve, turn U then U' on the cube to go to the next scramble without touching the screen. "Open the app on" in Settings: start on the Timer, Learn, the Algorithm trainer or Drills. ALSO NEW IN 1.5 • Ghost races: race a real recorded solve by another cuber, turn by turn at their pace. Same scramble, one attempt, and your Elo does not change. In Battles you can also race the pros: real WCA competition attempts by world-class cubers, on the scramble they were solved on. • Your efficiency: in Learn → OLL and PLL, your own cases from smart-cube solves, costliest first, with recognition and execution times. Tick the ones you want and practise exactly those. TPS in Stats and on your profile. • ZBLL in the trainer, and "My algorithm": use your own algorithm for a case.
