Care beds & changing tables: Now part of the app! ------------------------------------------------ From now on, you can specifically filter accessible restrooms according to whether they are equipped with care beds or changing tables. Especially for caregivers, families with children with disabilities or people with high assistance needs, this was a long-expressed wish – and it was and is a real matter of the heart for us to introduce this feature now. We are currently beginning to collect this important information thanks to our community. The focus is clearly on participation: You can report, supplement or correct locations with care beds or changing tables directly in the app. This creates a growing database – by those affected for those affected, checked by our editorial team, supported by real need. New list view with distance, direction & sorting -------------------------------------------------------- The list view has been completely redesigned – and now makes it even easier to find the nearest accessible restroom quickly and specifically: - Next to each entry, the distance to the location is now displayed – at a glance, without tapping. - Additionally, an arrow next to each entry shows in which direction the location lies. - If you rotate your smartphone, all arrows rotate with it – you get immediately understandable, visual orientation. - And: You can now sort the list by distance – so what's closest is always displayed first. So you not only know where the nearest accessible restroom is, but also in which direction you need to go. Faster, clearer, more practical for daily use. 10 new languages for more participation worldwide ------------------------------------------- Accessibility doesn't end at language barriers. That's why HandicapX is now available in 16 languages. In addition to German, English, Spanish, Polish, Russian and Japanese, newly added are: - French - Italian - Portuguese (Europe) - Portuguese (Brazil) - Danish - Swedish - Dutch - Slovak - Hindi and Chinese (simplified) So even more people worldwide can find, report and share accessible restrooms – inclusive, accessible, global. UX & UI: Fine-tuning for your daily life -------------------------------------- Improved readability, optimized scrolling, clearer navigation. Want to see only accessible restrooms that are public, currently open and can be opened with the Euro-Key? No problem! - Personalize: The new filter feature remembers your personal settings as long as the filter is active. This allows you to personalize your search results across all maps and lists - without logging in or registering. - Improvements for the blind and visually impaired: Navigation has been improved, and icons and buttons have been adjusted to make better use of VoiceOver (Apple screen reader).

„Near me" function becomes "Free search“ In previous versions of the HandicapX app, the "Near me" function only displayed accessible toilets within a certain radius of the current location on the map. When moving and zooming the map, no new locations were reloaded. This kept loading times as short as possible. Unfortunately, however, this also led to the false assumption that no further locations were available. The "Near me" function is used to search in the immediate vicinity and the "Find toilet" function is used to search worldwide for an accessible toilet. After evaluating the feedback and the many requests made to us in forums and by e-mail, we have now changed this function. NEW - "Free search": With the help of this new feature, users of the HandicapX app can view all accessible toilets listed with us on a single map at any time, freely move and zoom map sections!!! With no restrictions, the locations are displayed without delays. We wish you a lot of fun and more accessibility with this new feature! VERSIONS The HandicapX app is now available in two versions - a free version (freemium) and a full subscription version. • Free version (Freemium) The function "Near me" shows you 5 accessible toilets in your immediate vicinity at any time at the push of a button. In addition, you have the possibility to report new locations of accessible toilets to our editorial staff and other users at any time. • Full version (subscription) With the full version you can use the full functionality of the HandicapX app as described above. After you have downloaded and tried the free version (Freemium) of the HandicapX app, you can activate the full version via a subscription, which you can cancel monthly.
