Speedy - Drag Timer
Time your 0-60 and 1/4 mile
USD 0.99
Stop guessing your car's numbers. Time 0-60, 60-130 and the quarter mile on any road, keep every run, and stack them against everyone else.
Speedy turns your iPhone into a drag-strip timer.
Just drive. Speedy detects your launch by itself, times the run, and saves
the result — no buttons to press while you're accelerating.
WHAT IT MEASURES
• 0–60 mph / 0–100 km/h
• 0–130 mph / 0–200 km/h
• 60–130 mph / 100–200 km/h
• 60 ft, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile, with trap speed
• Splits every 10 mph (20 km/h)
BUILT FOR ACCURACY
Speedy pairs GPS with your iPhone's accelerometer to pinpoint the exact
instant you launched, instead of waiting for GPS to catch up. 0–60 is
reported with the 1-foot rollout used at real drag strips, so your times
line up with how cars are actually tested.
An honest signal indicator tells you when conditions aren't good enough
to trust a run — no fake numbers.
EVERY RUN KEPT
• Results saved automatically on your phone
• Map and speed trace for each run
• Altitude, temperature and density altitude recorded alongside
• Share your best times to the leaderboard
YOUR UNITS
mph or km/h · °F or °C · feet or metres

more - 60 ft, 1/8 and rollout stay in sync after launch correction — no more negative rollout or “rollout made it slower”
- Impossible launch figures (pinned at speed, physically unattainable 60 ft) are refused or marked unresolved instead of published
1.3.1 24 Sept
- Voice callouts — your key speeds, the eighth and the quarter mile are called out while you run, so your eyes stay on the road. Turn it off
any time in Settings.
1.3.0 16 Sept
- improved leaderboard data
- speedy board supports OTA updates
1.2.9 15 Sept
- Runs that were really just city driving no longer land in My Times
- A run no longer fails to start quietly when the first GPS fix is loose
- The loose-GPS warning now matches the receiver, so it stops appearing on clean phone runs
1.2.8 10 Sept
- Every distance figure now shows two times — from a standstill and from the drag-strip rollout
- Report redesigned: time and trap speed on one line, 0-60 with rollout in the splits ladder
- My Times shows one number per figure, the same one the main screen and leaderboard use
- Weather refreshes as you drive instead of once at launch, so density altitude fits the road you are on
- Temperature and altitude stay blank when unknown instead of showing zero
- Results no longer open by themselves mid-session
- Fixed run timing when GPS delivery stalls
1.2.7 9 Sept
Sharper 0-60 on phone GPS. A phone fixes once a second, so a pull could start on
the clock a moment before the car moved. Speedy now places the start with the
accelerometer — on some runs that is half a second. SpeedyBoard runs were already
this precise and have not changed.
• A pull ends when you slow down, so a whole drive is no longer one result.
• 0-60, 0-130, 1/8 and 1/4 mile only count within 30 seconds of the launch.
• A GPS dropout ends the run instead of guessing across it. What was measured
before it is kept.
• A run that ends while you are still rolling opens the moment you stop.
1.2.6 8 Sept
Settings, rebuilt
• New card layout: your profile, garage, units and links, all easier to scan
• Units, feedback links and version live exactly where you expect them
1.2.5 4 Sept
Rebuilt account and leaderboard
• New sign in and create account screens. No more cramped pop-ups: clear fields, a password you can reveal, and errors explained on the page instead of in an alert.
• Forgot your password? Reset it in the app with a code sent to your email.
• Garage. Enter a car once — year, make, model, mods — and pick it when you publish. Makes come with logos and a searchable list.
• Every run is now saved on this phone automatically, with no account and no connection needed. Your times are in My Times the moment a test ends.
• One run, every number. A single result now carries all of its splits, trap speeds, conditions and speed trace, instead of being split across separate 0-60, 60-130 and 0-130 lists.
• Publish straight from the performance report, and choose exactly which splits go on the leaderboard.
• Reports show what measured the run
1.2.4 2 Sept
• Much sharper 0-60 and 60 ft times on hard launches — Speedy no longer
loses the first moment of a pull to GPS lag
• Launch detection now works reliably on every supported iPhone
• My Times now shows 0-60 with the 1-foot rollout, the drag-strip standard
• Your saved runs are no longer lost when the app updates
• Coasting is no longer counted as part of a run
• The distance readout now resets properly after a run
• Bug fixes and stability improvements
1.2.3 31 Aug
- small bug fixes
1.2.2 29 Aug
• Sharper 0-60 timing: the accelerometer now pinpoints the exact launch moment
• Runs are no longer lost when GPS briefly drops out mid-run
• Your last results stay on screen between runs
• GPS signal indicator now reflects real measurement quality
• Bug fixes and stability improvements
1.2.1 28 Aug
Rebuilt timing engine
Acceleration timing has been rewritten from the ground up. Times are now taken from the GPS receiver's own fix timestamps and interpolated between readings, instead of being sampled on a fixed interval. The result is dramatically more accurate and repeatable — previous versions could be off by up to a second in either direction.
More ways to measure
• 60 ft, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile, each with trap speed
• A full speed ladder — your time to every 10 mph from 0-10 all the way up
• 0-60 with drag-strip rollout, so your times line up with a printed timeslip
• Rolling starts — already moving? Open Speedy and it will still time your 60-130
A real run report
Every run now gets a detailed breakdown: a speed trace graph with acceleration overlaid, every split, and the conditions you set it in — temperature, elevation, density altitude and road grade. Density altitude is the one that explains why the same car runs differently on a hot afternoon than a cool morning.
Nothing gets lost
Runs save themselves the moment they finish. No stopping, no tapping, no waiting. My Times now keeps your complete run history on the device, so it's there instantly whether or not you're signed in or have a connection.
