Harrier Central
Hash House Harriers App
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Harrier Central is the free app for Hash House Harriers everywhere. Find a run around the corner or across the globe, RSVP in a tap, and keep every run you have ever done stored safely in the cloud. PackTrack puts the whole pack on one live map. Drop trail marks as you go, find everyone with the radar, find your way back with the lost compass, and snap photos that land on the map where you took them. Replay any run afterwards, or share a link so friends and family can follow along in any browser. Put it on the big screen at the On-Inn with Trail TV.
There is a chat for every run and every kennel you follow, an interactive songbook that switches the whole pack to the same song, and a Hash Flash gallery where the run's photos live.
For mismanagement there is plenty to make the job lighter: check the pack in even when there's no network available, take payments, charge memberships and sell haberdashery, manage runs and hares, and set who can do what for each kennel.
Built by hashers, for hashers.

SAVE AND SEND
Kennel admins and hares can now email a run to the kennel as well as post it to WhatsApp. Write the email from the run's own description, or let AI draft it in your kennel's house style. Preview it to yourself first, and see exactly who will get it and why.
THE HARE'S OFFICIAL TRAIL
Hares can scout a trail before the run, or promote any runner's track to be the official trail. It is drawn on the PackTrack map, replays alongside the pack, and a lost runner who presses I'm Lost sees it on their map.
KENNEL TRAIL MAP
A Trail map button on the kennel page shows every official trail and every start point, with the kennel's favourite starts drawn bigger. Tap a pin to open any run that started there.
PACKTRACK
Tap Me to keep yourself in the middle of the map, and tap another hasher to see just the two of you and the trail between you. The radar now shows the streets behind it, zooming is smoother, and one button follows you on the map. About ten minutes before a run you said Yes to, PackTrack gets itself ready and arms auto start. Android trails are now as detailed as iPhone ones.
FIND A HASHER
Search for hashers by hash name or home kennel. You choose whether others can find you. Run Counts › By Hasher lists everyone you have run with, most runs together first.
CHATS
Chats now splits Groups from Friends, each with its own unread count. A chat bubble next to a hasher's name on lists across the app starts a conversation. The kennel page has its own kennel chat, and a run's chat is the bubble at the top of the run. Chat notifications are fewer and better targeted.
I WAS AT THIS RUN
On a past run, you can mark yourself as having been there, where your kennel allows it.
APPLE WATCH
A run that starts automatically now appears on your watch.
AND MORE
Runs imported from a kennel's website carry an AI badge. The runs date filter jumps to any year quickly. A phone with the wrong clock now corrects itself straight away. Fixes for a rare crash on iPhone, the Android navigation bar, chat badges after returning to the app, and auto start on Android.

Harrier Central 3.1.8 — everything since 3.1.0, in one update.
MESSAGE ANOTHER HASHER
Long-press anyone's message and choose "Message" to start a private conversation. You decide who can message you — friends only (the default), anyone, or nobody — and a request waits at the top of Chats for you to accept or decline. Pin the conversations you care about, and see when your message has been read.
REPLY, REACT, SHARE
Reply to a message and your answer carries a quote of it. React with a thumbs up, a heart, a laugh, a beer, a runner or a flame. Send a photo, your location or a dropped pin, copy any message, and delete your own for everyone. Block someone and you will not see them in any chat; report a message and it goes to Harrier Central's reviewers.
CHATS, ONE TAP AWAY
The chat bubble opens Chats over whatever screen you are on, and the app icon shows how many messages you have not read.
AUTO START
Arm it before the run and put your phone away: your trail starts by itself when you set off — your phone notices you running, and never starts it because you drove off. Press Start yourself and nothing you ran before is lost.
THE SAME TRAIL ON EVERY SETTING
Every tracking setting now records the same detailed trail. The setting only decides how often your position is sent to the pack while your phone is in your pocket — sending is what uses the battery — and with the app open you are always up to date.
WHEN YOU NEED HELP
Send Help rings and buzzes the phones of the runners around you, even in a pocket. Before you start, the app checks the things that spoil a trail — location permission, battery saver — and a signal light on the run page shows how good your GPS is.
A PHONE WITH THE WRONG TIME
If your phone's clock is wrong, Harrier Central now corrects for it and keeps working, and tells you how to fix it.
PHOTOS ON THE MAP
Tap a photo on the map, then "Map" to see exactly where it was taken.

Harrier Central 3.0 - our biggest update ever.
PackTrack: see the whole pack on one live map. Drop trail marks from your phone or Apple Watch, find everyone with the radar, find the trail with the lost compass, send an I'm Lost, snap photos onto the map, then replay or share any run.
Trail TV: put the run on a big screen at the On-Inn, with live tracks, photos, stats and a QR code so anyone in the room can follow along.
Interactive Songbook: share the current song and every phone switches to it.
Now a native iPad app, full screen in both portrait and landscape.
Apple Watch support during your run so you can see your distance and mark checks and false trails.
Faster and steadier: opens straight to your runs, works offline for check-in, payments and the pack list, and copes quietly with a bad signal.
Better chat: Trail Chat for every run, kennel chat, unread badges and an Unseen Chats list.
Hash Flash: photo review with audiences, bulk actions, captions, crop and camera-roll import.
Memberships and haberdashery charged straight from check-in, with a clearer payment report.
Plus Hashes Around the World, an Explore map, the Admin Portal from the menu, per-kennel permissions and a new sign-up flow.
Also in this update: your recorded track is no longer thrown off by a photo taken by someone else, a phone with a weak GPS signal keeps far more of its trail, trail marks are drawn beneath the trail instead of over it, and the live run list refreshes properly when a message arrives.
