Struggling with dc, sc2tog, or confusing repeats? PlainStitch rewrites any crochet pattern into plain English and guides you through it step by step.
PlainStitch
Crochet patterns are often filled with abbreviations and shorthand that can be difficult to follow. PlainStitch translates crochet patterns into clear, easy-to-read instructions so you can spend more time creating and less time decoding.
How It Works
Import a crochet pattern as a PDF, photo, or pasted text. PlainStitch analyzes the pattern, expands the designer’s abbreviations using the included abbreviation key, and rewrites each row or round into plain English while preserving the original instructions.
Features
• Translate crochet patterns into plain English
• Step-by-step guided mode that walks you through each instruction
• Detect potentially unclear instructions and stitch count inconsistencies
• Built-in stitch glossary with beginner-friendly explanations
• Save projects and continue exactly where you left off
• Dedicated iPad workspace with the original pattern alongside the translated version
Designed For
Whether you’re learning to crochet or have years of experience, PlainStitch helps make patterns easier to understand without changing the designer’s original instructions.
