The game can be played between 2-6 players or solo against a computer.
At the start of each game, each player is allocated $100,000 in virtual money.
Each player allocates the $100,000 across eleven (11) sectors of the economy or companies – as decided by the player who starts the game. This is called asset allocation.
There is an element of strategy and chance involved in the game.
Each round starts with a player selecting one of the sectors or companies he is playing for and throws a dice. Depending on the outcome of the throw of the dice, the selected sector or company’s allocation is impacted (ranging from up 10% to down 10%). The throw of the dice affects the holdings of all the players allocated to that selected sector or company.
Each player then selects a sector or company and throws the dice, taking turns. Once all the players are done throwing the dice once, that round is over.
After each round, the players may reallocate their assets across sectors – this is called rebalancing.
Each player also has 3 wild cards that they can use any time during the game: (1) ANNUL (which cancels the outcome of a dice thrown and gives the player the chance to rethrow the dice); (2) DOUBLE (which allows the player to double to outcome of the dice’s outcome); and (3) STRIKE (used to impose a 10% decline in a selected sector or company). Each card can only be used once during a game.
After every round, the game itself will randomly pull a macro card; the outcome of which will impact all players, either globally or certain sectors or companies only.
If a player crosses $150,000 in holdings (or in other words has a gain of $50,000 or 50%), he receives an extra $10,000 in virtual money as a bonus and 50 TICKR COINS.
If a player crosses $200,000 in holdings (or in other words has a gain of $100,000 or 100%), he gets an extra $50,000 in virtual money as bonus and 200 TICKR COINS.
The game ends after 30 rounds or when the players mutually decide to end the game.
The winner and is awarded 100 TICKR COINS. The runner-up is awarded 50 TICKR COINS in the game (in case of a game with more than 2 players only).
A player can exchange 10,000 TICKR COINS. These coins can be exchanged for various in-game cards and benefits
