A new interface that provides an improved experience by taking advantage of native mobile features, including: • Navigation and user interface conventions that users expect in a mobile app. Examples include: - Bottom navigation containing icons for home, search (discover), calendar, notifications, and main menu. - Opening of external links as an overlay that provides intuitive navigation back to the app. - Push notifications to iOS mobile devices to alert the user they have received a notification from their dashboard. • Mobile communication features: Selecting a phone number launches the phone app, selecting an email address launches the email app, and selecting an address launches the map app.

Ellucian Mobile 5.5 introduces the option to add a link to your institution’s privacy policy as a menu item under the Actions section of the Main Menu that ensures the privacy policy is within one-click of the application’s main menu. This is designed to assist with the “easily accessible” requirement of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Enhanced international user experience through updated contextual translations for all supported languages.

Improved date and time handling designed to address issues reported for various combinations of date and time format (12-hour or 24-hour), international time zones, and languages.
