hey bestie, ready to make budgeting effortless? with budget bestie, you can take full control of your money on your own terms—whether you get paid weekly, biweekly, twice a month, or monthly, we’ve got you covered. using the cash stuffing method, you’ll say goodbye to stress and hello to a budgeting approach that fits your life perfectly.
okay but what’s cash stuffing?
1. create envelopes – create an envelope for each expense category like food, eating out, rent
2. stuff your envelopes – put all of your cash into envelopes based on how much you’ll spend before you get paid again
3. spend your money – this is the fun part - don’t feel guilty for spending your hard earned money. when you buy something, use the cash from the corresponding envelope
4. get paid, repeat - record your income (cha-ching) and go back to step 2, stuff your envelopes
how budget bestie works
- no need to carry cash - we’ve taken this 100+ year old proven technique and put it in your iPhone
- say bye to math and spreadsheets - we’ll recommend how much to stuff into each envelope based on previous spending habits and upcoming bills
- avoid late fees by getting reminded - we’ll send you a notification when you haven’t recorded paying a recurring expense
- hit your savings goals - create savings envelopes and we’ll make sure you’re on track to hit your goals
- budget on your schedule - whether it’s weekly, biweekly, twice a month, or monthly, you can budget based on what works for you

Cute app. There couldve been a warning that you need to pay for it before I spend 20 minutes typing in my data….
Developer Response
Thanks for the feedback. I’m sorry the experience felt frustrating. We do mention that Budget Bestie is a subscription-based app in the App Store listing and during the onboarding flow, before you create any envelopes or set your budget. We actually used to show the paywall right up front, but users told us they wanted to explore the app a bit first. So we moved it later in the setup to strike a better balance. It’s not perfect, but it was a change based on user feedback. The free trial gives full access so you can try it out before committing. Thanks!
You have to pay
Gracie0999
Ridiculous, you have to pay for an app that you download to SAVE money. Absolutely insane. You have to pay otherwise you can’t do anything. 0/10
Developer Response
Hi Gracie0999, Budget Bestie offers a free trial so you can try the app before committing. After that, it’s a paid, user supported app.The goal is to help users take control of their money, and many find they save far more than the cost of the app by using it consistently.
hey besties, budget bestie has a fresh new look: a lighter pink, a plus right in the middle, and cleaner envelope cards that show what's left at a glance. when money is waiting, home shows one stuff now button. new envelopes pick an emoji from the name, or choose your own. you can see the amount you type while you stuff. we fixed a few things too: stuffing never changes an envelope you didn't touch, the recap's money in list matches what you made, and if your connection drops as you open the app, it lets you in and brings your envelopes back on its own once you're online. keep on stuffing!
