Explore cities at your own pace, in your own language.
You've planned the trip. You've booked the hotel. Now you want to actually understand the cities
you're visiting — without joining a tour group, without reading from a guidebook, without paying
€30 per person for a guide who walks too fast.
CityAppTour gives you self-guided audio tours through 75+ cities worldwide, with audio in seven
languages, that play automatically as you walk. Just you, your phone, and the stories that bring each
street to life.
WHAT MAKES CITYAPPTOUR DIFFERENT
• The most beautiful route, not the fastest. Forget Google Maps' shortest path. Our tours
weave through the corners of a city you'd otherwise miss — quiet squares, hidden
courtyards, the cafe locals actually go to.
• Audio in your own language. Listen in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, or
Portuguese. Most audio tour apps only offer English. Travel with your partner — you each
hear the same story in your own language.
• Real stories, by people who know the city. Our tours are written by local guides and writers
who actually know each city — not crowdsourced, not auto-generated. Consistent quality
across every tour, in every language.
• Free city info, no purchase needed. Every city comes with a free guide covering local
customs, public transport, food and drink, where to stay, safety tips, the best time to visit,
and practical info like currency, language, and time zone — plus useful links to help you plan.
Browse before you buy, or use the app as your trip companion even without a tour.
• No earbuds required. Use earbuds if you prefer, or hold your phone to your ear like you
would on a call — only you hear the audio, no one around you. Your choice.
• Discover what you'd otherwise miss. Audio plays automatically when you reach each
landmark — so you don't have to keep checking your phone. Look up, look around, and let
the stories find you.
• Works offline. Download a tour before you leave WiFi. No roaming costs, no signal drops in
narrow streets or remote corners.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick your city
2. Choose a tour
3. Use one credit to unlock it
4. Start walking — the audio plays automatically as you reach each stop and tells you how to walk.
.
PLAN HALF A DAY, NOT AN HOUR
Our tours aren't quick one-hour walks — they're proper city explorations. Discover Bologna in a day.
Get to know Lisbon over an afternoon. Plan to spend at least half a day on a tour, with time built in
for a coffee, a museum stop, or a long lunch when something catches your eye.
Each tour covers the heart of a city through carefully chosen routes — typically 75-100 minutes of
audio across 3-6 km on foot, with playback that adapts to how fast or slow you walk. We focus on
what's interesting, not what's obligatory.
FOR TRAVELERS WHO DO IT THEIR OWN WAY
CityAppTour is built for the kind of traveler who'd rather take a detour than stick to a schedule. Who
pauses at a café when something catches their eye. Who travels for depth, not bucket lists. If that
sounds like you... Welcome aboard!
50+ EUROPEAN CITIES AND GROWING
From Amsterdam to Barcelona, Antwerp to Bologna, Lisbon to Trier, Verona to Brugge, Lille to Split,
Cordoba to Delft. New cities and tours are added regularly. One app for every city trip.
Download CityAppTour and turn your next city trip into something you'll remember.
