MiniMed Go app
Smart MDI system
Free
MiniMed Go. Remembers. Reminds. Recommends.
The MiniMed Go™ system helps people manage diabetes. It is a single-app solution that can integrate glucose measurements captured from a compatible continuous glucose monitor (CGM) with data on insulin doses delivered by the InPen™ smart insulin pen.
The app can be used with InPen, Instinct Go sensor made by Abbott, or Simplera™ sensor CGMs. Sensor availability varies by country. The app also supports Apple Watch™ to display glucose values and to receive sensor glucose alerts. When connected to a compatible CGM, the app supports display of Sensor Glucose (SG) values and trend arrows. When connected to the InPen smart insulin pen, the app supports automatic logging insulin doses, tracking of active insulin, and a dose calculator. The app also supports alerts or reminders for low glucose, high glucose, and insulin doses.
The MiniMed Go app should only be used with supported mobile devices and operating systems. In order to access the list of the supported mobile devices and operating systems, go to https://www.medtronic-diabetes.com/device-compatibility
IMPORTANT NOTE: The MiniMed Go app is intended for use with the InPen smart insulin pen and compatible continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems and compatible rapid-acting insulins (NovoRapid, Fiasp, Humalog, or Lyumjev) to aid in diabetes management through multiple daily injections.
It is indicated for ages 7 and up, or for ages 2-6 years under the supervision of an adult caregiver. Adequate sight and hearing, compatible mobile device and operating system, pairing and connectivity, proper settings, accurate manual logging of insulin doses administered by means other than InPen, and occasional blood glucose meter (BGM) readings are all required for proper functioning of the system.
Treatment decisions are to be made in consultation with a healthcare professional and on the basis of a combination of glucose readings, trend arrows, glucose target, active alerts, and recent events (such as insulin doses, exercise, meals, and medications).
Failure to observe these and other details as found in the user guides can result in incorrect dosing, missed alerts and notifications, and ultimately hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia, with serious injury or death possible. For complete details, consult the appropriate system and component user guides https://www.medtronicdiabetes.com/support/download-library/user-guides, taking care to select the correct country.

- Use Statement
- The MiniMed Go app is a software only mobile application intended to communicate and connect with compatible Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) and the InPen smart insulin pen and installed on compatible mobile devices for the purpose of managing diabetes.
When connected to a CGM, the App supports display of continuous SG values and trend arrows. When connected to the InPen injector, the App supports automatic logging of insulin doses, tracking of active insulin, and a dose calculator. The App also supports alerts or reminders for low glucose, high glucose, and insulin doses. The app can track trends in glucose concentrations, and aid in detecting events of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia facilitating both acute and long-term therapy adjustments.
The dose calculator, a feature of the app, calculates an insulin dose or carbohydrate intake based on auto-populated CGM values and/or user-entered data. A healthcare professional must provide user-specific settings to be programmed into the software prior to use of the dose calculator feature. The MiniMed Go app is intended to calculate insulin doses for patients on fixed dose, meal estimation, or carbohydrate counting meal therapies.
The MiniMed Go app is intended for use in a home environment.
