Before you start, a 10-question taster now measures your pace and accuracy against the test you're preparing for, whether that's Optiver's 80 in 8, Flow Traders' 75 in 10 or your own target. Your plan is then built from those answers, with a date on every step. You can re-sit the taster any time to see how far you've come, and there's a Rate MindMath option in the menu if you'd like to leave a review. There's also a new 3×3 keypad, laid out like your phone's passcode screen, if you prefer it to the two-row one.

On iPad, the home screen now sits together in the middle instead of leaving a big gap above the menu. A score that lands exactly on a firm test's pass mark now says so, and a few bits of wording are tidier.

The home screen is rebuilt. It opens on the one thing worth doing today, worked out from your interview date or your weakest operation, and everything else is one tap rather than a long scroll. Firm tests, number sense and Round 2 each have their own screen now, so finding the drill you want takes a tap instead of hunting. The speed benchmark has its own place on the home screen rather than being buried in a caption.

The online test is only the first round. What comes after it is an interview built on probability and expected value, and there are now 40 of those questions in the app. They are untimed, because they are meant to be thought about, and each one comes with the full working so you can see the method rather than just the answer. Your interview plan no longer stops on test day. It carries on into Round 2 prep. Everything is quicker too. The pause between answering a question and getting the next one was longer than it needed to be, so it is much shorter now, and you can tap the question to skip past the answer flash. The firm simulators now run at the speed of the real tests, which they did not quite do before. One side effect of that: because the simulators are faster, percentile comparisons start again from scratch, so you will see "building the dataset" for a while until enough new scores come in. Your own best scores are not affected.
