What's new in 1.6 Your flight, live from the inflight Wi-Fi. Connect to the plane's Wi-Fi (no Wi-Fi pass needed) and Skyty shows the flight data the airline's portal provides: • Flight number, route and aircraft • Arrival time in destination time • Your route drawn on the offline map Works with Gogo, BoardConnect, Viasat and Panasonic eXConnect. Airline not recognised yet? Tap "Help us add your flight" and we'll add it in the next update. Also new: • Made for iPhone Duo: the layout adapts instantly when you fold or unfold • Fixed: Seoul and Tokyo now show the correct time zone

What's new in 1.5 Skyty on your wrist. A full Apple Watch app with four glanceable complications: • Altitude — flight altitude in a circular complication • Position — city, altitude & speed at a glance • Position (Inline) — city & altitude on one line • Altitude (Corner) — flight altitude in the watch face corner Live-synced from your iPhone via WatchConnectivity. Falls back to the Watch's own GPS when the iPhone is out of reach. Same offline-first DNA — works at cruise altitude with no signal.

Improvements in 1.4.2 Auto-recording now uses motion sensors to distinguish flights from cars and high-speed trains — eliminating false triggers on motorways and high-speed rail.

Fixes in 1.4.1 Fixes a bug where the "Prepare for Flight" button stayed disabled when Settings opened without a GPS fix — preventing the recommended pre-flight cache refresh for offline use.

What's new in 1.4 Four new live events on your map: • Satellite passes — predicted overflights of known satellites (ISS, Hubble, Tiangong, Starlink) • Solar and lunar eclipses — paths drawn on the map, predicted through 2035 • Noctilucent clouds — seasonal at mid and high latitudes • Geographic crossings — Equator, Date Line, Tropics and Polar Circles Prepare for Flight — new section in Settings. One tap caches all live event data for offline use. Exactly what you need before boarding so nothing is missing at cruise altitude. Rocket launch detail view expanded: live T-MINUS countdown, launch window, "Launched X minutes ago" for past launches. A short explainer card per event category, plus the usual small refinements.

What's new in 1.3 Live events on your map — see what's happening below while you fly: • Rocket launches from spaceports on your route • Northern lights when a geomagnetic storm lights up the sky • Active volcanoes, recent earthquakes Sources: Launch Library 2, NOAA SWPC, USGS, NASA EONET. Tap any pin for time, distance and a brief description. Built right for iPad: proper landscape layout with a dedicated sidebar — coordinates, metrics, events and landmarks stay visible while the map fills the rest. Two new map themes: • Cockpit Amber — classic warm NVG/HUD orange • Stealth — minimalist pure greyscale Plus the usual small fixes and refinements. Fix: auto-stopped flight recordings could occasionally be lost after restarting the app — resolved.

New: Night Sky On night flights, Skyty now identifies stars, constellations, and the moon right above you. Perfect for long flights over oceans or continents — hold your iPhone to the window and discover what you see. • Live view of the night sky based on your current position • Over 100 constellations, named stars, and planets • Moon phase and position in real time • Works completely offline Also: more languages — Skyty is now available in over 30 languages worldwide.

Landmark Spotter — See what's out your window. Skyty now identifies mountains, lakes, rivers, volcanoes, islands, and cities near your flight path. • LEFT / RIGHT Band — landmarks sorted by side, with distance • Map Markers — POI dots on the offline map with tap-to-highlight • Horizon Band — compass strip showing landmarks at their bearing Also new: • Unit system: Metric, Aviation (ft/FL, kts), or Imperial • 11 new languages (AR, ES, FR, IT, JA, KO, PT-BR, RU, TR, ZH) • Improved flight detection using runway proximity • Departure airport locks during recording • Settings redesign with sub-pages • Fixed map not reloading after background
