Introduction:
The Nut app works together with the Nut smart tracker. Bind Nut smart tracker with your important items, if you cannot find the items, you can make the Nut smart tracker beep, then find it.
If your phone or items cannot be found, you can use the Nut smart tracker to call your phone, and vice versa.
Both your phone and the tracker will alert you when they are disconnected so that neither your phone nor the important item will get lost.

Bad purchase
I removed the app and will not be using the tracker. There is no way to prevent information sharing with the (China-based and therefore no GDPR) developers (and other companies/the government they chose to share the info with). I am only interested in the proximity alarm function. That only requires information exchange between the phone and the device. No information exchange with the developer should be required.
Update: the one star does not mean this is a bad product/app. It only reflects that I am not able to use it in the way I thought I could based on the product description. I thought I could use this as a proximity alarm only by leaving the tracking feature disabled therefore obviating the need to share location information with anyone. For people looking for an actual tracker this product might suit their needs just fine. I just don’t want to have yet another company track my location.

The current App needs to be registered because it provides the network finder feature, and it needs to indicate whether the device owner or the finder. In the case of no declare lost, we only save the latest information about the alert settings and location of the device, such as the disconnection location information when you recently disconnected the item. If your item is lost, you need to declare it lost. Let our App users help you find the location of your lost item. We will keep a record of your location for nearly 30 days. These data are saved completely to provide the basic functions of the app. If my reply fails to dispel your concerns, you said that the program has been uninstalled and is no longer used. According to GDPR, you can request to delete your account. You send it to us and we can help you delete the account in the background. I'm sorry I couldn't provide you with reliable service.
Issues since iOS 11 with nut2
I have 3 nut mini’s and 2 nut2 trackers. Since the upgrade to iOS 11 the app doesn’t find the Nut2 trackers anymore. The app and the device has now become useless
