“SwitchBox” is a simple app meant to be paired with up to three small little electronic gadget named switch box, which was designed by and is sold through Pilot Portraits (support@pilotportraits.com). The owner of the box can send commands in text messages to it, and the box will in turn control two electric switches to control electric devices, i.e. turn them on or off. The “SwitchBox” app helps create and send these text messages, so that the user does not have to memorize the cryptic commands for the text messages. This app works only on the iPhone, not the iPad. This is because the switch box device can only be controlled through traditional text messages (SMS), not through iMessages. Requires iOS 6.0 or later.
