This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included. From your comments we learned that you want us to offer more maps for free. OK, understood: now you get 4 free maps! You can use and recalibrate these maps as long as you want. But if you want to add a 5th map... well, you might have guessed: then it would be great if you would buy one of the available map-packages. We would really appreciate this! In this release, you can display your photo attached to a world map. It looks great, as if your map is glued to the world at the proper point, orientation, and scale. If you happen to have internet access, you not only have the info on your photo available, but also the map details that come with the online-map. We also fixed some minor bugs, like usual.

We added graphs that display the altitude and the speed along your tracked path, as well as the total distance that you walked. This is a fun feature that makes walking, hiking and city-exploring even more exciting.
