Halloween is here! All 20 mascots are in costume, the winner gets a spooky crown, and the home screen comes alive with fog, bats, music and haptics, until 1 November. Want the night icon too? Turn on Seasonal app icon in Settings. Not your thing? Switch the seasonal theme off.

Thanks for playing Zwist! This update brings new preview videos to the App Store page, so your friends can watch a duel before they download. It also fixes the new-mascot reveal: no more flicker, and players who own the full game no longer see it.

Zwist 2.0 is our biggest update yet. • 20 mascots to collect. Give one to each player and unlock the rest through challenges. • A new match finale: the winner's mascot takes the crown, and every duel opens with a face-off. • Share cards to show off a win, a rivalry, your Daily Ten or a new mascot. • Back up your players, match history and mascots with your email, and bring them to a new phone. • Head start: give the weaker player a few points before the duel begins. • Play with a guest, no profile needed. • Rivalries in Stats: every pair's record, current run and who owns which category. • A fresh look, new sounds and haptics, and a new first-time tour with a practice round.

Two new ways to play. STUDY: train on your own. Quick Round tuned to your weak spots, Category Focus with a mastery meter, Drill My Misses, Survival, and the Daily Ten (the same ten for everyone, once a day). Every answer comes with a short explanation. TABLE: 3 or 4 players around one iPad, each in their own corner, all racing for the same question. Zwist now runs on iPad. Also: a one-time full-game offer after your second duel, and small fixes.

Fixes from the first tester round: the countdown now speaks each player's language, and a film quote plus Spanish punctuation in the question bank were corrected.

The big question-quality pass. We reviewed all 2,300+ questions in every language, one by one, and fixed what we found: • Questions that gave away their own answer are reworded or replaced • Answer options that were obviously wrong, off-topic or oddly worded are rebuilt, so guessing by elimination no longer works • Translation errors fixed, including a handful where the marked answer was wrong in one language • Eleven questions that could not be saved were replaced with new ones • Fresh quiz-host voice recordings for every question that changed Same bank size, noticeably fairer duels.

Natural quiz-host voices now read the questions aloud, downloaded per match in your players' languages, with the device voice as offline fallback. Restoring your purchase is easier and safer: clear feedback on every restore, and email restore is protected with a verification code. Read-aloud now plays even with the silent switch on.

Zwist just got a lot more fun to win: • Round celebrations — see instantly who scored, with sparkles for the winner • Points now pop: +1 and −1 float right off the score • A proper 3-2-1-Go! countdown with haptics • The next question starts automatically — no more tapping through • The match winner gets crowned on the results screen • New in Settings: rate Zwist and tell me what you'd like to see next — I read every review!
