1.4.2 is a maintenance update. Recent changes: This update makes the home screen work better, so you see who needs you the moment you open the app: • The day/night preview button is gone, and the plants that need water come first. • Tap "I watered it" and your plant stays on stage for a sip and a reply before the next one steps up. • The confirmation screen after adopting or identifying a plant is simpler, and tells you when your first reminder will arrive. Also: text is clearer in night and dark mode, and error messages are easier to understand.

This update adds the Care Atlas: • Care Atlas: care cards for 20 common plants — how often to water in summer and winter, how to check the soil, and the most common way each one dies. Just browse and you'll get it. • Adopt from the Atlas: no photo needed — pick a plant, tap "Adopt this one", and it's yours. On a plant's detail page you can also tap through to the Atlas card it follows. • Weather now comes from Apple Weather: turn on "Use local weather to tune watering" and your watering schedule adjusts to the local temperature and humidity. • Settings now has a "Send feedback" row — tell us what you think. Also: fixed a few display issues.

This update makes adding your first plant easier: • No photo needed: pick a common plant — pothos, succulents, money tree, snake plant and more — and it's set up in one tap. You can add a photo later. • No dead ends: if a plant can't be recognized, you go straight to choosing it by hand, and the photo you just took comes along. • The English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish and Traditional Chinese interfaces are now fully translated. Also: the add-plant screen now scrolls on smaller iPhones, and long names no longer cover your plant.

This update is mostly about subscriptions: • The lifetime purchase now supports Family Sharing — one person buys, the whole family can use it. • The subscription page has been rebuilt: prices, what you get, and how it differs from the free version, all on one screen. The half-price first week now shows the discounted amount directly, so you don't have to work it out yourself. Also: "Invite Friends" and "Enter Invite Code" have been added to Settings.

Reduce Motion is now supported: turn it on in iOS Settings and animations across the app calm down. Pennywort, air plants and other soil-free plants now have their own watering interval and care note, instead of the generic "check whether the soil is dry". Fixes: the "just watered" highlight no longer disappears early when you water several plants in a row; at night, colours in "More plant pals" and "Once together" now follow the garden.

Performance improvements and stability fixes.

Added localized app language and localized App Store screenshots for eight markets. Plant care guidance is now easier to discover in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, and Spanish.
