ScoreFrame
Volleyball stats & highlights
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
ScoreFrame burns a professional broadcast-style scoreboard directly into your sports video as you record. No editing, no post-production, no extra apps. Hit record, tap to score, and share.
12 SPORTS SUPPORTED
Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Football, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Pickleball, Hockey, Lacrosse, Bowling, and a Generic scoreboard for any sport.
LIVE SCOREBOARD ON YOUR VIDEO
A broadcast-quality scoreboard overlay appears on your video in real time. Score changes update instantly. Team names and colors are fully customizable.
REMOTE SCORING
Use two phones — one records, one scores. Connect over Wi-Fi and score from the sideline while the camera phone records the game.
INTERNET SCORING
Host a game online and let anyone score from a web browser. No app required for the scorer. Share a 6-digit code.
HIGHLIGHT CLIPS
Tap the highlight button during recording to mark great plays. After the game, clips are automatically extracted and saved to your camera roll.
BUFFER MODE
Only save the highlights. A rolling buffer captures the last 60 seconds. Tap highlight and only the good moments get saved.
BASEBALL SCOREBOOK
Track every at-bat with fielding plays, pitch counts, and RBIs. View a traditional scorebook grid during or after the game.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Save teams with custom colors and rosters. Teams sync across devices with your ScoreFrame account.
SHARE TEAMS
Create a public page for your team. Share schedules, rosters, and game results with fans and parents.
PLAYER STATS
Career stats accumulate across games. Track batting averages, bowling averages, volleyball kills, and more.

1.2.328 28 Sept
Fixes a long-standing bug that made recorded video darker than the live preview. Video now matches what you see on screen.
Also in this release:
• Crash reporting enabled, so problems get found and fixed faster
• Fixed the volleyball fire icon carrying over into the next set
• Fixed a duplicate clip when marking a highlight
• Fixed ads appearing for Pro and trial members
• Bluetooth controllers reconnect reliably after going out of range
• Fixed video playing with the sound out of sync when opened from a game
1.2.310 25 Sept
Fixes a crash that could close the app while signing in.
Also fixes the YouTube badge on recent game cards flickering in and out.
1.2.284 8 Sept
Streaming fixes, and an honest one about a message you were seeing.
• "Streaming was interrupted, restarting" — the app was causing that itself. Coming back from the home screen rebuilt the encoder and forced a reconnect even when the stream was perfectly healthy, then reported the break it had just made. A live stream is now left alone, and the timer keeps counting instead of restarting.
• Stream delay is now yours to choose — Low, Ultra low, or Normal — right in the Go Live screen. Low is the new default (about 15-30 seconds, and viewers can still rewind). Broadcasts used to be fixed at YouTube's slowest setting, which is where the "about a minute behind" reports came from.
• Teams set to invite-only stay invite-only. A migration step was re-applying "private" to team hubs behind your back. Fixed, and the affected teams have been cleaned up.
• After a game, if nobody is following your team yet, ScoreFrame offers once to share your team page. Once per team, and only when there genuinely are no followers.
• Fan tap on a recent game now opens the real game from the cloud instead of a dead "not on this phone" page, and the "download the app" banner no longer shows up inside the app.
1.2.283 7 Sept
• Battery and heat: connecting to a second phone no longer leaves every discovery radio running for the whole game, and an idle connection now shuts down after the game ends instead of draining in your pocket
• Scoring from the controller phone no longer flickers between the old and new score
• Followers tapping a recent game now open the real game page instead of a local placeholder
• The controller can start buffer recording, and shows the camera phone's battery, heat and stream status — cycling through every active issue rather than getting stuck on one
• Camera diagnostics moved to the top bar beside Disconnect
1.2.281 4 Sept
Schedule any team, shared or not. Adding a game used to require sharing the team first — now you can build a schedule on a private team, from the Schedule tab, your Home screen, or the team's own page.
Sharing a team now defaults to "Anyone with the link". A link you send just opens, instead of asking people to sign in and request your approval first. The team still stays out of search and Find Teams, and teams you already share keep the setting you chose.
A public team no longer publishes its roster. People who find it see the team name and its upcoming games — dates and opponents. Roster, results, venues and notes stay with the team.
Fixed: a bug that quietly reset a team's visibility back to Private.
1.2.257 28 Aug
Import a schedule instead of typing it. Photograph a printed schedule or a screenshot and ScoreFrame reads the dates, opponents and times off the page, or paste a public calendar link and it's read on your phone for free. Every game is listed for you to check and edit before anything is saved.
Away games work properly. Scheduling a game now asks which side you're on, away fixtures read "@ Rockhurst" instead of "vs", and starting one puts the opponent on the home side so the burned-in scoreboard is right without fixing it by hand.
Team invitations are fixed. If someone invites you to follow their team it now appears on your Home screen with Accept and Decline — the email is no longer the only way in. And you're told when someone accepts, instead of being emailed as though they had asked to follow you.
Also in this release: new events join your current season automatically, notes you delete stay deleted, and pages inside the app load in a second instead of stalling.
1.2.255 27 Aug
Fixes in this release:
• Baseball enhancements and bug fixes
• Tennis, pickleball and lacrosse get the large tap-to-score buttons the other sports already had.
• Volleyball: serve indicator and streak icon can now be switched on or off, and set history shows per-set team and player stats.
• Football: penalty yardage and a zone swap for switching ends.
1.2.250 26 Aug
Your stats now reach the cloud. Volleyball per-player stats, the baseball scorebook, tennis and pickleball scores, and bowling frames were being dropped on the way to your shareable game page. They're saved now, and they show up.
Long team names fit the scoreboard instead of running off the end of it.
Advanced scoring is remembered from your last game of that sport.
The end-of-game screen shows the final score before you save, so you can catch a wrong tap while it still matters.
Plus a logo editor with crop and background removal, coach and manager roles for your teams, and a long list of fixes to recording and uploads.
1.2.237 20 Aug
• Sharing a team is now checked on our servers, and if it can't be shared
you're told which teams are counted toward your limit
• A shared team missing from your team list is restored so you can manage it
• Stop sharing a team and share it again later — it keeps the SAME link, so
links you've already sent still work
• An archived team can be re-shared even when you're at your limit
• Archived teams no longer appear on the Home screen
• Fixes a crash on launch and another when rotating to landscape in a game
• Fixes deleted games reappearing, and tennis/pickleball games not attaching
to a team
• Streams now show on the game's web page; games recorded before a team was
shared are repaired automatically
• Videos saved to Photos now play from the game page
• Signing out no longer discards teams or games that hadn't synced
• GDPR ad-consent prompt for users in Europe and the UK; tracking permission
is asked before your first ad instead of during setup
1.2.185 14 Aug
• Fixed annual subscription display — the app now correctly shows your annual plan status and hides the "Switch to Annual" button when you're already subscribed annually
• Improved billing detection for deferred subscription upgrades
• General stability improvements
1.2.116 17 Jul
• Baseball & Softball — Complete scorebook with at-bat history, pitch counts, and full inning-by-inning line scores.
• Corrupt video recovery — Automatically detects and repairs interrupted recordings so you never lose footage.
• Video saving improvements — Better Photos library integration with clearer status and iCloud awareness.
• Bug fixes & stability — Sign-in now immediately populates your teams and games. Profile picture updates instantly in the bottom bar after sign-in.
1.2.115 9 Jul
• iPad now runs as a native app! — full-screen, all four orientations
• No Team sharing limit in free mode!
• In-app editor for stream links on past games (add, reorder, delete)
• Tapping a ScoreFrame link in email now opens the game directly in the app
• Bowling per-bowler handicap persists across the whole series
• Soccer penalty-shootout winner shown in gold with a "PK W" badge
• Apple Sign-In users can now sign in to private game pages via email/password
• Fixes a crash that hit some iPhones on portrait→landscape rotation
1.2.99 29 Jun
This release brings major improvements to live streaming, highlights, controller mirroring, and adds two new ways to manage your video library.
LIVE STREAMING
Full 1080p streaming to YouTube. Auto-uploads a custom ScoreFrame thumbnail to the YouTube watch page on every broadcast - your sport, your team names, your event label, a LIVE indicator. No more generic channel-photo fallback.
Smart error surfacing. If YouTube isn't accepting your stream for any reason, the app surfaces a clear error within ~25 seconds so you can stop and try again, instead of leaving the LIVE pill in a misleading state.
Smarter adaptive bitrate. When the network forces a quality downgrade mid-stream, it now stays in that session only. Your saved quality preference rides again on your next Go Live.
BUFFER MODE + HIGHLIGHTS
Buffer-mode highlights attach cleanly to the game card and your Photos library. End Game in buffer mode keeps only the highlights you captured - no extra full-buffer video to clean up.
Deleting a game with "Also delete videos" now reliably removes Photos-library copies too.
CONTROLLER MIRRORING
The LIVE pill on the controller phone tracks the camera's stream state smoothly during long broadcasts. iOS-camera + Android-controller pairings stay in sync.
Cross-platform pairing no longer surfaces version-mismatch warnings (iOS and Android use different version schemes by design).
NEW SURFACES
Settings - Video Storage - Manage Recordings. Every recording on this device in one screen - with "Linked to {game}" badges, per-row Play / Share / Save to Photos / Delete, and a bulk "delete unlinked" button to reclaim storage.
Settings - About - Features Guide. Opens scoreframe.app/features.html - a full explainer for every feature, including buffer mode, coach notes, custom branding, stat tracking, Bluetooth-button recording, and more.
Coach Notes go Pro. Post a note from any game card and every follower gets a push and an email.
OTHER POLISH
Game pages on the web show embedded video, full box score, coach notes, and a back link to the team's history.
Stream URL attaches to the game card automatically when scoring from a remote controller, so the YouTube link is always one tap away from the game record.
Many small improvements to remote scoring stability, buffer mode, and roster sync.
1.2.68 23 Jun
Bowling: framesByGame defense — per-frame data now round-trips end-to-end so cloud writes never strip the rich array. Mid-game Game Setup pill is non-destructive and bowling-aware: edit handicaps + opponent + untracked + event label without resetting the series. Tracked-bowler handicaps now persist across dialog opens and apply at End Game. Volleyball: scoring panel no longer freezes after score updates (infinite-render loop fix). Streaming: End Game properly ends the YouTube broadcast, unlinks team hub LIVE state, and uploads the watch URL to the cloud doc so game.html embeds the video. Stream Resume banner on Home surfaces leftover broadcasts. “Syncing your data…” banner no longer fires on every app foregrounding. Cross-sync: rich bowlers + streams[] now travel intact across multiple devices
1.2.21 15 Jun
• iOS push notifications now work — End Game recaps and stream-live alerts land on your iPhone
• Tap a notification to open the game page directly
• "Save to YouTube" now adds the upload to the game's video playlist so it appears on the web
• Sign Out no longer re-syncs every team you haven't edited
• Smaller fixes: the top status banner no longer covers toolbar buttons; "Clear all" in the notification bell
• Performance tuning under the hood (HaishinKit streaming code now compiles fully optimized)
1.2.1 5 Jun
Untracked roster sync across devices, basketball box-score scoring with per-player stats, Save to YouTube (Labs), bowling stat display polish, video attach + link-to-game flow, performance and stability fixes.
