In this version, we added some great UX features: - Voice control function. We understand that many users keep repeating the same exercise while holding instrument in their hands. It will be extremely helpful if this can be controlled by the sound produced from their instrument. For string instruments, you just need to play open strings to control the corresponding actions. You can turn on this feature in practice mode selection screen. We are investigating in which other scenarios this function may also become useful. - For all string instruments, single octave mode in music theory practice is now more beginner-friendly by starting with open strings whenever possible. - New song added in Book 3: Chanson Boheme from Carmen by Bizet - New language is now supported: Russian

In this version, we focused on a number of UI/UX improvements. - Scales and Chords now have one octave and two octaves options. This matches what you would find in many music theory books, helping students prepare for exams. - We further extended the availability of Hints option to all sections when pitch-only mode is selected. - Zoom in/out button is moved to the top so that users can now easily control both hints on/off and zoom in/out. We now use a magnifier icon for the zoom button. - All non-draggable cards are now ignoring drag detection. The end-user experience is that you will find those cards more responsive to your clicks, without being misinterpreted as drag actions. - We are making the app more and more iPhone friendly by increasing the size of all buttons. - F-sharp major and G-flat major (and their corresponding minors) will now be rendered properly in Music Theory. -New languages are now supported: 1. We added two new features in this version. - Hints are now available for all string instruments in Flash Cards training. Available for: violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, bass guitar. For violin family instruments, tape markers are shown on the fingerboard. Version 3.0 is here!! We introduce a new module "Music Theory". Now your music learning journey becomes: Flash Cards -> Music Theory -> Full Flow Sheet Music -> Practise Real Songs. We believe the best way to learn music is through practice, including learning music theory, which is essential to help students bridge between Flash Cards and Full Flow Sheet Music. Three types of theory are available: 1. Scales. 12 major scales and 24 minor scales (Harmonic minors and Melodic minors). 2. Chords. We initialise this section with 6 common chord types: Major Triad, Minor Triad, Major Seventh, Minor Seventh, Dominant Seventh, Diminished Seventh. All keys are available in each chord type. 3. Rhythms. This is the crucial part of learning how to count beats using different note types and time signatures. Rhythm exercises are provided. They are important for your subsequent music learning paths. Note Types: semibreve, minim, crotchet, quaver, semiquaver, triplet and their corresponding dotted notes and rests. Time Signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/4, 3/8, 6/8, 9/8, 12/8 In development: - More songs will be added to different music books. - More chord types will be added.

In this update, we focused on some fundamental improvements. - Fixed the bug that chords option was not working at custom level in Flash Cards mode. - Simplified unnecessary rests generated in full flow mode. - We optimised the pitch error tolerance level for Flash Cards in order to significantly reduce half step detection error for low pitches. - Clicking on pause button can now pause the music in rhythm mode. BPM control is now available. A slider control now shows above the staves in rhythm mode. The is available in both full flow and real songs category. - We have further optimised stave position to try fitting everything nicely on screen, especially when BPM control is now available. - The app will calculate your Average BPM and show it on result board. You now have option to zoom in / out the stave. This is less important on an iPad but has huge advantage on an iPhone. We understand that the notes and lines might be too small to read on iPhone, therefore we give you the option. You should also understand that by doing so, the visibility of upcoming notes are also reduced. So, we made it entirely up to you. 2. Flash Cards learners can also benefit from our new zooming design. - We have added 3 new songs to Book 2 : 1. Starlight Waltz by C.S. Brainard 2. Two Guitars - Russian Gypsy 3. The Happy Farmer by R. Schumann - All songs are transposed and tailored properly for each instrument. - We have successfully trimmed prefixed rests for songs starting half way in first measure. In development: 1. For instruments that require reading grand stave like piano and harp, you have options for practising with left hand, right hand or both hands. Other enhancements: 1. As our functionality is getting more and more comprehensive, any possible reduction of clicks have been thoroughly considered. - We understand that you only need to tune once for the entire practice session, and tuners are already provided in Tools section. - Switching between levels won't require tuning confirmation. - This applies to middle C detection for piano as well. 3. First of all, we have addressed an issue for iPad users having an external Apple keyboard (right orientation is set by default). Under these circumstances, supporting both left and right landscape mode has become necessary. We have added a new "Tools" section: 1. Tuner for your selected instrument. 2. General-purpose chromatic tuner (supporting the widely used 'equal temperament'). In future versions, we will support other temperaments. 3. We are proud to introduce our NEW metronome widget. Features: - Drag the slider along the pendulum arm to adjust the BPM (beat per minute). - Pendulum animation powered by real-time game engine physics. - A metronome that feels real — without carrying the box. We fully simulate how you will use a real metronome. You will love it!! More tools and advanced tunings, and our practise real songs category are already in development — stay tuned! We did what you asked for, bringing back our classic 'Flash Card' training for shallow learners. - The app now has two practice categories : 'Flash Card for beginners' and 'Full Flow of Sheet music'. - In Flash Card mode, we introduced hint on/off option for piano learners. We teach you how to play notes from ground up (suitable for absolute beginners). 3. For violin, we now have option for students who opt in for Suzuki curriculum. Suzuki beginners are first introduced with A and E string. 4. We have further strengthened our metronome function. In rhythm mode, you will see the current number of beat in a measure. 5. With more and more functions added to the app, navigation has become a problem. We must improve navigation flow. Exiting the current practice session will now bring you back to the level selection, so that you can immediately pick and start another level. 6. We further improved the piano sound from screen keyboard. It sounds smoother now. Our current roadmap: 1. Another 'Practise real songs' category will be added next, in addition to all the built-in tuners and metronome functions we already have, our app will soon become a general-purpose musicianship practice system. 2.
