TabTidy now works with Chrome and other browsers, too. In the browser's tab list, choose Select Tabs › Share Tabs and pick TabTidy to save the pages as a group you can open from the TabTidy app. From Safari's share sheet, you can save the page you're viewing to a group in one tap. Also in this update: the setup steps now explain what the extension reads and that nothing leaves your device, usage data is sent only after you say yes, saved groups can be deleted, and a new setting removes all tab data from the app.

You can now close duplicate tabs from the iOS app. Open Duplicate Tabs on the Groups screen to keep one tab for each page and schedule the rest to close. The app can't close Safari tabs directly, so they close the next time you use Safari (when you work with your tabs or open the TabTidy popup).

To improve the app, TabTidy now sends usage data that doesn't identify you, such as how often features are used. Your tabs' URLs, titles, and group names are never sent. You can turn this off anytime under Privacy in Settings.

Fixed group names that were mostly broad categories like "Shopping" or "Travel." Groups are now more likely to be named after what you were actually looking into, such as "Daycare" or "Washer." Improved • Tabs on the same subject are now grouped by the words in their page titles, too. • Tabs on the same subject that were split across categories (for example, washer comparisons split between "Shopping" and "Home") now land in one group. • With many tabs open, tabs on the same subject that are far apart are grouped together. • After AI Organize, you see how many tabs were sorted. When there are no new tabs, it tells you so and how to regroup everything. • The first AI Organize after updating regroups all your tabs with the new method.

Fixed AI sorting putting unrelated tabs into a group where only the first tab matched the group name. Group contents now match their names. Fixed • Tabs unrelated to a group's name no longer end up in that group. A tab joins a group only when it contains the group's word. • Common words like "app" or "new" no longer chain unrelated tabs together. Improved • After updating, results from the previous sorting method are discarded and your tabs are sorted again automatically. No reset needed.

AI sorting has been rebuilt. Unrelated tabs no longer pile up in one big group. Tabs now sort cleanly into research groups like "Lisbon" or "Washer", and areas like "Travel" and "Health". New • Words Not Used in Group Names: in Settings > AI Classification, add words you don't want as group names. Groups with that name are re-sorted right away. Improved • A new way of sorting: tabs that share a word become one research group, and the rest are sorted by area. • Sorting is now reliable in both English and Japanese. • In AI Classification Settings, Group Size lets you sort by area only or split more finely. • The Group Name Length and Requests to the AI settings were retired to match the new sorting. Fixed • Unrelated tabs ending up in one big group. • A developer-only section showing on the Groups screen.

Choose how the AI sorts your tabs. In Settings > AI Classification > AI Classification Settings, pick group size and name length, then compare with your current groups before you decide. New • AI Classification Settings: choose group size (broad, normal, or fine), group name length and language, and add your own requests to the AI. Tap "Try These Preferences" to see the new groups side by side with your current ones. Improved • Group names now say what you were researching, like "Hakone day-trip onsen" instead of just "Travel". • Fewer tabs are left out of every group. • See how far AI sorting has progressed, and keep sorting even after you leave the app. Fixed • Syncing your tabs no longer erases the groups the AI made. • AI sorting now works when most of your tabs are Google searches.

IMPROVED • Redesigned Groups screen: an at-a-glance index with tap-to-drill-down, so hundreds of tabs and dozens of groups stay easy to navigate. • AI organization now covers all your open tabs and shows how much has been organized. • Large piles of tabs from the same site are split into topics. • The iOS app and Safari extension now show the same groups. • Promote an AI-suggested topic to a manual group with one tap. • AI respects your manual groups and never moves tabs you sorted yourself. • On devices without Apple Intelligence, TabTidy falls back to site-based groups. FIXED • AI organization no longer fails when hundreds of tabs are open. • Stale AI results, resurrected manual groups, and swipe-to-delete not working.
