Love it

Absolute favourite VPN I also told my boyfriend to get it and watch Japan streams from The Netherlands. I use it for over a year now and I love how easy is to use. It’s also very fast and affordable. Wide range of different vpns for every country .. it’s just amazing !
Very stable with excellent ad- and tracking blocker but disappointing speeds
thtallis
Very stable and fully private VPN with excellent ad- and tracking blocker and easy to install and use. Yet unfortunately quite disappointing speeds which vary to much across the day. You won’t sense it on your iPhone and while browsing but you certainly will when doing calls or video calls - and that on a daily basis forcing you to switch off VPN. Their customer support will always tell you to search for another server but first of all that doesn’t help and secondly do you want to waste your time with that? They seriously need to change their product design and server selection and make it smarter and MUCH faster 24/7.In terms of speed, NordVPN is y far superior and the best - fully private as well and you forget that you have a VPN running in the background. However, Proton’s ad-blocker works significantly better. I have tested both over 6 months.

Thank you for your feedback. Connection speeds can be influenced by numerous factors such as your native ISP speed, location, server load, network setup, etc. That said, could you share your ticket number with us here? Kill-Switch doesn’t work on iOS
Jivak99
At random points throughout the day I would notice I am not connected to a VPN, entering the app seeing the same and not being connected. Assuming one doesn’t fork out an additional 15-25€ for Apple One and the iCloud relay(which only covers Safari) you’re exiting from your IP without being warned. I guess that this is an upstream iOS issue, but Mullvad seems to have figured it out from my experience. Downloading a Proton VPN WG profile and using the iOS Wireguard app seems to result in less battery drain and a more stable connection. Perplexing
Developer Response
That doesn't sound right. Could you share more details about the issue? Have you made sure to disable any other VPN services on your device while using Proton VPN? Are you perhaps receiving any error messages when the kill switch fails? Does it stay enabled in the app settings when this happens? Contact us using the "Report an issue" option in the app menu so we can investigate the behavior.
Really good product
sdragoev
Really good product, easy to work with. The only thing is in rare caes when I’m on a slowe connection con makes it even slower and can’t complete some requests, which is kind of expected, but still.Disabling the vpn makes them work and turning it back on.
