NO HOMEKIT SUPPORT update

Good but not best app from that price of AC units! Still don’t support HomeKit, really Daikin? For that price need to support all standards like Matter and Thread! The app didn’t found all AC Units in the network automatically and need to add some of them manually!Update: after replacing router the migration process was very good!Still no HomeKit Support.

Cannot update firmware

Updating Air Conditioner firmware with this software is a nightmare. One has to be connected to the home Wi-Fi to begin, then it fails. We need to switch to DaikinAP, otherwise it won’t accept firmware updates. But then the iPhone is offline so it can’t download firmware. The trick is to switch between these two until the update succeeds which may take hours in multiple attempts. Finally the DaikinAP remains active with no obvious way to disable. So we need to reset Wi-Fi settings on the AC unit, then reconnect again, which brings DaikinAP up again, but now ONECTA shows the units as offline and offers to connect them to the cloud. Once this is done, DaikinAP is finally turned off. Whoever designed this behaviour needs to get stoned. It has been like this for each update ever since I bought the two Prefera units one year ago.

We bought 4 Daikin Perfera floor units and we spent good amount of money for the wifi feature which is a true night mare.Every time we try to set the fan mode, temperature and cold/hot modes and turn on the AC via the app its causing 10 to 15 minutes for the app to be synced with the true settings on the units.If you are close to the unit you see that the AC is turned on and configured with the desired settings you already put via the app, but if you check the user interface of the app you will see your unit still turned off with the old settings you already changed.Very buggy app.Next time I will go with Mitsubishi..

It is a shame that DAIKIN app tries to get info about precise location on every step of the install and use process. No skip button. I cannot add my unit because the app do not has access to my precise location. Or it wants imperatively to add coty so it "can provide you with info about polens". Come ooooob Daikin. We do not pay about that brand so we can have another private info spy at home. I will try the old app and if it does bot work i will just miss the wifi control which i already paid as separate controller. Not satisfied.
