Having problems with the app
Crashes instantly when I open it.
Beautiful interface, still some strange issues...
This app is indeed a beautifully minimal replacement for the stock alarm clock and its interface is as sleek as it gets. Although there are still some issues that I think should be addressed. When in DND or silent mode - you need to leave the app in the foreground in order for it to actually sound an alarm. This should at least be mentioned somewhere, when activating an alarm while in silent mode. It would be great if the app's permissions can just be fixed to let it sound alarms while working in the background (this is more of a restriction on Apple's side, i guess).
Another issue that needs pointing out is that when the alarm is left in the background, it does not play my selected iTunes song, but rather randomly selects one of the default sounds (on iPhone 5s, IOS 7.0.4). It would also be nice to have a notification bar icon when there is an alarm scheduled. I would like to keep using rise, but if these issues are not addressed, i might as well just go back to using the stock app.
Additionally - i had recently set an alarm after 12:00 AM for the same morning (10 o'clock). Under the scheduled alarm time it said "tomorrow" (with no option of changing it). Guess what? The alarm didn't go off.
When design is not everything
It used to be such a beautiful, easy to use and HANDY alarm app, but the more updates it got the more issues it started to have. Special thanks for putting my phone on mute for whatever reason every time i use the app. Design is not everything guys, focus on the performance.
